Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

What a lovely morning you had just meandering around MK! I need to take some time to do that. Seems like I am always rushing from one thing to the next!

Have a nice day today! I love 4 day school weeks because it's already Wednesday...Friday is right around the corner!:goodvibes

I know it's wrong to feed the ducks, but this is so darn cute!

A birdie friend.

you know, i'd be the first to say, "any friend of memom's is a friend of mine." but i think this is the exception to that rule. :scared1:

This fixings bar was a big mess!

IMG_2183.jpg

i've never been here when this place has been open! well, i take that back. it was open once when we were there back in 1987 and i was 11!

I couldn't get a decent shot of the Pirates. Jack Sparrow wouldn't be still.

IMG_2184.jpg

that pesky captain jack sparrow.

A quick shot as the showboat went by.

I would be seeing this later with Brooklynn. I knew she was going to love it!

i can't wait to see what you guys thought of this. i want to see it!

what a great walk around MK! thanks for bringing us along.

Two really great updates MeMom ! Love all the pictures of the 2010 merchandise , already has me making a list for my next trip of what I might want to buy . The pictures of the statues are just beautiful ! Your wandering pictures are great , you capture so much through your pictures , makes me feel like I'm right there with you ! Can't wait to see more popcorn::popcorn::

Toontown is still alive and well. Take lots of pictures, because we will look back on them fondly in the future.

Yay! I was hoping it was still there so I can say goodbye!

Today is a very special day...Kazin's first birthday!!! :goodvibes That year went by so fast!

I absolutely adore that statue of Walt and Mickey, it's one of my favorites. Great pictures! I have always wanted to eat at El Pirata as I just love Mexican food. Did you eat there? Was it good?

Love your random stroll around the Magic Kingdom especially the Brer Rabbit statue and the Christmas goodies!

I thought about bringing Christmas krispy treats home, but I need to lose, not gain, so I left them there for someone else to enjoy. I thought the candy cane trees were cool.

I like the Brer Rabbit statue, too. You don't see too much of Mr. Rabbit. I like taking pictures of the store and signs over by Splash Mountain. They're very fun.

Good Morning! Listening to live 365 disney music and hoping its a good day for everyone! 6 more days for me until POP!!! and my DD knows nothing about it!

Disney music is a wonderful way to start the day! :goodvibes

Looking forward to the big surprise and the trip itself.

I can't believe it took me 50 pages to get over here! :sad2: But I am finally here, caught up and anxious for more. :goodvibes

Do you think there will end up being a Part II to this trip report, too? :upsidedow

Meandering is awesome! I would drive down there just to stroll around taking pictures for one day and then drive back. I'm so warped.

I know it's wrong to feed the ducks, but this is so darn cute!

It was cute, because the CM was scooting them around with his foot as fast as he could.

That nice long beak of his can probably do some big time damage if it wants to!

The showboat show was wonderful, and I hope they extend it. Brooklynn was entranced the whole time and just smiled. I have some video, I hope, if I was doing the right thing with the camera.

No comments from you on that, Jill.

It is fun to think about what you will buy. I thought about those Mickey-shaped serving dishes before we went. I always enjoy looking at other people's merchandise pictures, although not a lot of people take them.

I'm not sure of a date for it to start coming down. I hope to see it once again this summer, but who knows what it will be like by then?

Happy Birthday to Kazin!

I didn't eat there. I just took pictures. They really needed a CM out there cleaning up!

I'll meet you at the Liberty Bell at lunchtime. We'll walk around Frontierland.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could really make that happen??? :dance3:

I wish! That would be so much fun. We could sit and relax in the rocking chairs over by LTT! :cloud9:

I am all caught up. I have enjoyed your updates. I thought the riverboat show was great too. I got to see it while I sat with my son while everyone else rode Big Thunder Mountain. I would have liked to have ridden as well, but the show was worth missing the ride.

I also loved those Christmas Carol window displays.

I am actually not afraid of birds but I must say did you get a look at that shadow? yikes! hee hee it actually looks like Captain Hook's hand disguised as a bird!

And bird watch!

Then can we go ride Big Thunder and Splash? :yay:

It's hard to believe they would put all the money into those costumes if they weren't keeping it. Does anyone know if it really stopped? If so, I guess they might be taking it to the other parks or something, but it was a very nice addition to Magic Kingdom.

Just saw this on Twitter. A tribute site to Pop Century http://www.popcenturysite.com/:cheer2:

I shall be visiting that shortly. :thumbsup2
Thanks for sharing!

The shadow was one of the reasons I took the picture. The shadow showed the presence of the sun, and I was feeling the warmth as I walked along. It just seemed like a good picture to represent that moment.

I do love all of your pictures! You have a great way of capturing things that are easily overlooked when doing the parks " crazy psycho mom style" as my son so affectionately refers to it as! Your pictures have inspired me to slow it down next time we are there and really soak in all the little treasures that Disney has to offer( should I forget to slow down- I can come home and slowwwwlllllyyy look through all of your TR's! :lmao: ).

Great update. Walt is my hero for creating the world for us all to go visit. I can't imagine what the world would be like with out Disney.
Great pictures. I love all the little details you capture in your reports that I wouldn't see when I go there with out it.:goodvibes

Great pics as usual....lots of detail! Love the statues!

I got to giggling over the seating capacity of over 1100 and no wonder the fixin's bar was a mess!!! You should see what my three kids do to the dinner table in five minutes! ;)

I surely enjoyed the meandering around Magic Kingdom. Something we took no time for this past trip. Hopefully when the two old folks go we will be able to sit and rock, do some bird watching and ride a couple of rides...;)

Okay just like other posters have said, your photos make me want to go back... :sad1:

SOOOON, SOOOOON, but it is hard to WAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT.
