Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Your statue pictures are beautiful! I missed the Christmas Carol window decorations. Just another reason to go back, I guess!

I know what you mean about liking to walk around at your own pace. I love spending time with my family there, but it's nice to walk around not having other people wait on your while you take your pictures. :upsidedow Speaking of which, how's your leg these days?

Hope everyone has a happy Monday!
Rachel

Those are great photos! LOL at the story of the CM wanting to be in the photo (or not...) :upsidedow

She really did, but then I guess she thought I was taking a picture just to oblige her. I am always happy to recognize the good CM's who make our stays so good.

That's my plan right now! :thumbsup2

Maybe we'll do Thanksgiving this year and Christmas next year.
Hmmmm. Again....Jiiiiill??? :goodvibes

Okay, I just zipped through the past ten pages... LOVE LOVE LOVE all the photos!! From going under the arch to the Christmas windows at MK... seeing your pics got me all excited again all over again!!! I agree it is fun to see your photos!!! Just so much fun... I didn't get a chance to really see those displays!!! :sad2: You were lucky that morning for a little time to yourself! I had that a few nights later which I totally enjoyed... Just gives you time to stop and see the little things...

Wonderful photos, the decorations at Pop were very festive!!! I have never stayed there but I always hear such good things.... I have been eyeing that "Small World" Tee at the Disney store on line!!!! ;)

What an enjoyable post! And I thought your Snowman table was so cute!! :)

My problem is that I want family trips and then trips in between family trips just for wandering and picture-taking. We have a family friend who has been with us several times, and she's old and slow like me, so I enjoy going with her because I know I'm not slowing her down.

I'm so glad you are enjoying the pictures. :)

Thanks for recognizing the attempt at a winter theme. It was decided and done that day, so I didn't have time for lots of cute things.

Whoever asked about the snowman-ish plates lined up before that I forgot to answer - yes, it was on purpose.
I picked the napkins out especially for scarf purposes.

Wonderful update! I love your pictures of Walt and Mickey. It's nice to be strolling down Main Street USA!! :)

I have some exciting news....I was talking to mom last night and she was talking about when we could visit yada, yada, and then drops on me: I think we should meet at Disney World in June 2011. We would love to see the kids enjoying themselves! :yay: Sounds great to me!!! I'm ready to starting planning! :woohoo: I didn't think I would ever get them to agree to a trip so this is really exciting for me!

Awesome!!!
Let the planning begin!
They will love seeing Hannah and Owen enjoying the magic of Disney World!

I missed these when we were there; so cute!

They were cute, and it was neat that they did them in several windows, not just one.

Why yes I'll get you one! Just remind me when it's almost time for me to go! :rotfl:

I'll remind you. And bring me a WDW plate and a WDW napkin and a WDW anything else that is free. You may save me from sure death that week! :rotfl:

Hi Memom and Jill: I'm here now! Sorry I've been gone so long. But you know how life is. I'm up to page 22 now. I'll try to get caught up later today. I need to go run some errands now. I'm glad you guys had an awesome trip and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. I have seen some of the pics on FB too. I probably need to friend you sons to see some more. Have a great MLK day and I'll catch up soon. Hopefully tonight!

Hello, old friend! (I mean that in the nicest way! :goodvibes)

Facebook Trent, as he did some phone pictures straight to Facebook. I put up some new ones in my family section, too.

Hope the hubby and your girls are doing well. :)

Wow I have missed a few updates!! Love the pics of Bella:cutie: & the dinner at your house!! Looks like a great time. Good job to all on the gingerbread house!! I think it came out great:thumbsup2 I also have the Jim Shore figurine. I could not resist it (QVC). I also buy the 16 mo. calendar every year. I have it on my door in the hallway. LOVE your shopping pics & ALL the Christmas pics. With my job I will never be able to go during the Christmas holiday:sad2: I am the Tax Collector in my city & the bills go out sometime around Nov 9th & due around Dec. 9th-16th but I never know exactly when they will be due until Nov. so no planning ahead of time!! My DH says when we retire!! I cannot wait that long. Still have about 20 years to go... Anyway I just love seeing all the decorations since I cannot see them in person.

Hopefully you can squeeze in some time someday to see the Christmas things in person. They are worth going for a long weekend, even.

Glad you had time to come over and catch up and visit with us a while during your busy season.

There is always a reason to go back. ::yes::

The leg still swells because of the previous surgery, but the knee is quite a bit better. Not wonderful, but better. Thanks for the concern.

Hmmmm. Again....Jiiiiill??? :goodvibes

We are arriving the day after Thanksgiving. We are most likely doing a split stay between POP and WL.

Just caught up again - doesn't take much to get behind here! :rotfl:

Enjoying the latest updates, and love  the fact that once upon a time I stumbled across a MeMom TR. What a wonderful Dis family we've got here, good friends, lovely little ones and more babies on the way :grouphug:

What are you cheering and woo-hooing about? Is it that new trip you are about to plan with your newly-hooked friends? :thumbsup2

I was just hollarin back at Brooklyn. I believe I have my DS16 talked into a mommy and son trip in the fall. He has 2 days off school in Sept and I am trying to stretch that into a whole week. Maybe we can "visit area colleges" while we explore WDW.

Keep us posted on the planning. Sounds like you could have lots of girl trips coming in the future. That could be a great thing!

I have that conference again in the beginning of Oct. But it is in San Antonio:sad2: I found out Southwest flies between Orlando and San Antonio. From Charlotte I will have a layover no matter what, so what if it is in Orlando and a couple of days long?:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Anything for a trip before the annual pass expires.

We need to see what's a sort of centerpoint for a lot of us. How far is everybody from like Louisville, KY? That might be high enough north to get in all our northern friends.

We'd drive to Louisville for a meet. That would be a blast!

Hey I'm all caught up now! I love the Christmas Carol windows, so cute. And I always love Mickey and Walt! Looking forward to seeing more. We're hoping to make it down this summer, but with finances we're just not sure yet. But oldest DD got accepted at the college in Florida and it's just about an hour south of Disney. So if we don't go this summer, hubby and I may make a trip in October and also visit DD too.

Great shopping and MK pics. I like the Main St shirt with Walt and Mickey. Also the pics of the statue. All those beautiful Christmas decorations. Fingers crossed our DVC comes through and I get my Christmas trip.

Well, if we get to make the trip at all, we will plan for a meet, because we would definitely be there on that weekend. I have to see what my school system is giving us that week to see if it worth the trouble. If they give us another October full week, I'd rather go then, but we'll see what everyone else's schedules hold.

I'm glad you feel at home here. It's nice to have this place to come and connect with people who truly understand our enjoyment of all things Disney. :) Always feel free to join in the conversation and share what's going on in with you and yours so that we can get to know you better.

I love the window displays!!!!!!!!! And that 2010 bag! I might have to buy that ;)

I just started my first PTR!! :yay: Come on over :)

I will be over there today. I'm excited for you!

Oh, I knew what you were doing. I was just teasing you, since you had talked about planning a new trip with your friends.

Visiting area colleges sounds like the perfect excuse for a short trip. :thumbsup2

We will add you to a Louisville meet. Sounds like that could be a decent meeting place for several of us.

We might go in October during my fall break, if we get a decent one. They're still playing around with what people want around here. It's either a week in October and short Thanksgiving break or a couple of days in October and a full week at Thanksgiving. I don't know what next school year holds or what Jill would want to do.

Glad you enjoyed the shopping.

I hope everything works out with your DVC. :goodvibes

***********************

So it is back to school today after a nice three day weekend. The weather has gotten more normal here, so that has been nice. I hope everyone is back to more normal where you live, too. Have a Terrific Tuesday!

 Keep dreaming!!! Sometimes those dreams come true. :goodvibes Keep us posted if they do!

That sounds like a WONDERFUL day!!! Ahhh, very, very nice. I love the idea of "your day, your plans" too. :thumbsup2

If your DH wants to ride along with a couple strangers he will probably fit in the rental car with us and DS!

I am still trying to determine which park we will visit on my bday, obviously MK for CP but then probably take monorail back to Epcot for the day. Maybe i will try to match Memom's 4 park day.

We've never tried Crystal Palace breakfast, but we do love the dinner. I know Janet will get us some good pictures. :thumbsup2

You know DH will take beautiful pics at CP, he is buying a new lens and new flash for his bday next week. I can't wait to see MK all decorated in the fall colors.

Well, it was nice while it lasted.

I don't see how you guys take the extended cold. We were back up around 50 today, and it felt wonderful.

We actually got 2 new swappers over the weekend :thumbsup2 which will fill a lot of the gap plus one of the swappers is driving down to POP so she is bringing a brand NEW box. :woohoo::yay:

Window displays.

Hey gals!

I love the POP and MK pictures - so much fun!! Just looking at them takes me back....it will be almost a month since we left in December - where does the time go?!

And the gingerbread house was just wonderful! What a great family project.

Have a wonderful week!

Yay for 4 parks in a day! :cool1: Do it! :)

Good to know a new box will be going in to retire the other one. It has done its duty. ::yes::

 your window display pics!!! Thanks again for sharing all of your fun pics. Really makes me feel like I am there! :goodvibes

I'd be happy to be standing at the Emporium again just looking at those displays. :)

I am hoping time continues to go fast until June; then it can go sloooow through the tenth of July. ;)

I should stop back by there and see if they have any more gingerbread houses. For two bucks, I can save it until next year. It's all sealed up, so I guess it would be fine. I will think about that on my way home today, if I don't forget to remember. :upsidedow

love the window display pics!

Glad you do.
Welcome to the report . :cheer2:
I hope you are finding this to be a nice place to hang around.

I'm all caught up. Life has been busy these days (I think the nesting has something to do with it:rotfl:).

I love all your pictures and it is making be determined to talk my DH into a Dec trip. Quick question.... I know the pools are heated, but are they too chilly for adults (kids will get in anything it seems)? He loves swimming with Abby so prefers to go when it is perfect pool weather.

Hope you are having a good week!

We totally missed those window displays - we must have walked through the shops trying to avoid the crowds in the street or shopping:goodvibes They are really cute :)

I've been horrible about keeping up on the Dis these days, but wanted to stop in and say hello! :goodvibes

Your pictures are extra beautiful this update! I didn't even seen those window displays. :sad2: Amazing!! Wonderful pictures of the statue.

And you posted a picture of the balloons....and not just the mylar ones! That had to be difficult. I suppose the Christmas decorations above them helped though, huh? :goodvibes ;)

The Pop tree is very cool! I love the classic ornaments, like the tree I grew up with.

I missed Drew picking her up on NYE! That would be the possibly second time he's done that! :rotfl:

:rotfl2: It was for about 4.8 seconds....

Brooklynn wants to say hello!

:laundy: - laundry one

:rotfl: - pink rolly one

:wizard: - Hollywood Studios one

:scared1: - the silly blue thing one that pops his hair up.

:dance3: - dancing ones

pirate: - the pirate one

:beach: - umbrella one

:rockband: - the drum ones

:eeyore: - and MeMom's favorite E-War

How sweet! I love her names for them! Henry once saw "the silly blue thing one that pops his hair up" and said "Ahhhh!" as he pointed to it.

Yeah - I am all caught up. I have been slacking off at work for the last hour so could be up to speed. I love the window scene pics and the pictures that Drew took of Bella are adorable. I made a gingerbread house a few years ago and it turned out AWFUL.... You guys did a great job.

I am actually heading to the world this weekend. Joe's parents live in Orlando now so am going to be making lots of weekend trips.

I have decided that I am going to be there when you guys are there. I am just checking to see if I can use my DVC at Boardwalk or Beach club. I am only going to be there from July 2nd - 5th (have to save dates for my Honeymoon), but I was hoping we could meet up again. I will be solo - my friends are staying in a time share off site.
