Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

On a kid related note. Bella went to the doctor on Monday for her 9 month checkup and weighed a whopping 14 pounds and 1 ounce. For those of you with little kids you know how small that is. She is not even on the growth chart. The average 9 month old girl weighs 20 pounds. She eats like a pig and never stops moving so they cancel each other out. Other than that she is super healthy and is threatening to let go and walk very soon!

I'm glad to hear she has a clean bill of health! But slow down Bella - no walking yet!!!

Put me down for the Mall of America meet, that's only 4 hours from me :teeth:

Oh, and Brook, I am a science geek raising geekey kids...a magnet store sounds awesome :upsidedow Is the cheese store still there? I haven't been in years but that was always a favorite of mine

:yay: Yep, last time I checked the cheese store was still there. I am not a fan of cheese, but their cheese curds that they have free samples of are AMAZING! They even squeak on your teeth - that's how you know they are fresh.

my college roommate live in the Mankato area and she has been trying to get my other roommate out there! Someday! LOL!

How about October?! ;)

Wow! I'm pretty sure my cat weighs more then Bella! She is so tiny! I can't believe that she is already close to walking...you'll have to post a video for us when she does....

If we are going to do a meet in October at MOA can we do it over a weekend? Columbus day would be good, because we get a few days off then ;)

Awww! She's just so cute Jill! :cutie:

Wow Bella is a tiny baby! Caleb's a little over 10 months and he's somewhere between 20 and 25 pounds and he's wearing 18 month clothes. He's bigger and heavier than Kazin, who is almost two months older

Bella sure is tiny - Even my Jennifer at 9 months was 16 lbs 2 oz ( I had to go look it up ). She was born at 6 lbs even and so tiny. She is no giant now, 5'3" maybe and 110 at the most, but our dr was very concerned and she was just fine. She actually wore out clothes instead of just growing out of them.

Ok, from here to the MOA it is 1800 miles. Um :scared1:

Hubby's aunt and uncle do live in MN though. Not to far away.

Disney World is 2200 miles :scared1:

Disneyland on the other hand is only 350 miles. I vote for that!

I would LOVE to join in the all girls trip to Mall of America but....it's 20+ hours away
I could go visit my sister in London and then pick up sunny_stace and go from there.

I can't believe you are going to loose both of your Disney Stores.

Soon there won't be any left. :upsidedow

Memom how can you pass up a $73 flight?

Yeah, I'm sure not happy about losing the Disney Stores. It has been nice to have them. I guess if I 'need' something from now on, it'll be on-line shopping for me.

With much sadness, I can assure you. If I had the money to go during spring break and still have enough for the summer trip, I'd be going. But, if I use money in March, I won't have what I need for the family summer trip. So, regrettably, I have to pass up all the good deals.

I feel like she is getting too big too. I really want this to slow down some because I know she is our last! I figured you'd recognize that Santa. One of these days I swear we are going to bump into each other at Target or Meijer. (I must admit, I do keep my eyes peeled!)

I've always wanted to go the Mall of America. In addition to getting to meet you, there is a woman on another message board I'm on who lives near there. It could be a double whammy meet-up for me!

That was taken one Sunday morning as I was trying to find the right Christmas card photo. We ended up having to attend a later mass at church, but I think it was the first time I had three happy campers at photo time!

I think those are pretty darn sweet too. I was going to only put up photos from January, but those were both December photos that could not be skipped. It was my dad's idea to put Aileen in the cart and then the boys went careening around on their hardwood floors with her. She had that terrified baby look on her face, but had a blast! I love the photo of the two of us too. I am generally behind the camera so I cherish each photo I have with my kiddos.

I want to be Facebook friends with you guys too! I am Margaret Murphy and I think this link works?
http://www.facebook.com/moparop?ref=name

If not, I am the Margaret Murphy in Cincinnati with my wedding photo as a profile pic!

You guys just need to plan to meet.

Is October good for you? I'm not sure what our school schedule is like for next year yet, though.

Facebook is a great way to keep up and see family pictures

I would love to go to Mall of America. If you ever make it up to Boston, I'd be glad to show you around. ;)

Moparop, your kids are SO cute. I love the pictures of Aileen, she is beautiful!

I'd love to have a personal tour guide in Boston. :)

Mop's kids are awesome; I agree!

Nope, it's a Radisson hotel...http://www.radisson.com/hotels/mnblmmal/optional.page We've never stayed there, but it looks really pretty nice.

I just priced a room. :scared1: It BETTER be nice, it's on par with the rack rate of the WL (and then some)! There has gotta be discounts somewhere.... We can dig into that should this plan come into fruition.

Love the double whammy idea! She could even join our crazy group if she didn't mind.

That is funny about having to go to a later service! But hey, YOU GOT THE PIC! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I just added you as a friend on Facebook as well!

Maybe a little steep for us, then. Jill is doing all the research.

Where are you getting this crazy :crazy2: stuff from?

I can't believe what a peanut Bella is! I bet it's going to be super cute to see that teeny-tiny little girl walking around.

People don't expect her to do the things she does because she's so small. Walking will trip them out!

14lbs....when I had Emily, there was a lady who had a 13lb boy...can you imagine that? I bet she will take off before you know it. :thumbsup2

13 pounds - that's two babies worth!

Wow that's a pretty convincing ad for M of A!!! I love everything except how far away it is from me.....well, I will keep it in mind! :goodvibes

Well, wigd is in Kansas, right in the heart of America. Maybe we can just go to her house! She should be equal distance for everyone, right?

Put me down for the Mall of America meet, that's only 4 hours from me :teeth:

Oh, and Brook, I am a science geek raising geekey kids...a magnet store sounds awesome :upsidedow Is the cheese store still there? I haven't been in years but that was always a favorite of mine

Adding you to the list.
Do you want seating in the crazy or non-crazy section? :)

my college roommate live in the Mankato area and she has been trying to get my other roommate out there! Someday! LOL!

THe same college roommate has a 4 month old little boy and he just weighed in at 20lbs at his appointment the other day...he was 100% across the board...course he was born at over 10 lbs:scared1:

Of course, we would love to see Caleb in person!

MOA is only a little over 17 hours for me....;) but a CHEESE store? Now you're talking! :cool1:

Tracy

A cheese store? That is interesting.
17 hours to buy some of it? That better be some rockin' awesome cheese! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, you'll get the cheese and the meet (meat)! :thumbsup2

That makes a whole sandwich, right!

Yeah, Jill, another one of mom's incredibly witty jokes straight off the top of my head. :upsidedow

I guess I better sign up for the crazy section, huh? :guilty:

I'm glad to hear she has a clean bill of health! But slow down Bella - no walking yet!!!

:yay: Yep, last time I checked the cheese store was still there. I am not a fan of cheese, but their cheese curds that they have free samples of are AMAZING! They even squeak on your teeth - that's how you know they are fresh.

How about October?! ;)

There is no slowing Bella down. That's why I nicknamed her Dash Incredible!

This cheese stuff is getting more and more interesting.

I hope Jill can put up video of her moving all around. It's pretty cute. She just crawls around smiling at everyone.

I have to check my school calendar. Sometimes our students are out, but teachers have in-service, and they frown upon us missing those...

even for cheese. :)

I wonder if I could get a decent airfare to MN?

Don't worry about it. We're all coming to your house, since your in the middle! :thumbsup2

Be sure to let Shocker know you guys are being invaded! :jumping1:

Awww! She's just so cute Jill! :cutie:

She's almost as big as you, tink! ;)

Wow Bella is a tiny baby! Caleb's a little over 10 months and he's somewhere between 20 and 25 pounds and he's wearing 18 month clothes. He's bigger and heavier than Kazin, who is almost two months older

Bella would be a little baby doll in comparison to them. She wears 3-6 month clothing.

Trent was like that. He was always small and could wear clothes from year to year until I got sick of looking at them!

Ok, from here to the MOA it is 1800 miles. Um :scared1:

Hubby's aunt and uncle do live in MN though. Not to far away.

Disney World is 2200 miles :scared1:

Disneyland on the other hand is only 350 miles. I vote for that!

We'll make it to Disneyland someday. We could probably get there as easily as we could get to Mall of America.

:idea:We'll have to check flight prices on that!

People don't expect her to do the things she does because she's so small. Walking will trip them out!

seriously! but i think that's better than having to deal with people expecting MORE from her. brett was always a head taller than all the kids his age and because of it people thought he was older than he was. our neighbor's little girl is 2 and is BIGGER than her 4yo brother. i even forgot how old she was recently because she looks so much older than she is and i started talking to her like i would a 4yo. she babbled something back to me and i remembered how old she was. amy, her mom, said that happens all the time, that people that don't know her think something's wrong with her because she's not talking like a 4yo yet.....but it's because she's only 2!

margot was trying to walk at christmas, too! before you know it those girls are gonna be hard to keep up with!!!

We are in the same boat. I have priced so many trips since we've been home, but, there is just no way to take 2 this year. Joe says "Let's see what our tax return gives us..." but we both know we should apply that toward the house or toward DVC payment.

Maybe a little steep for us, then. Jill is doing all the research.

Where are you getting this crazy :crazy2: stuff from?

:rotfl:  If Trent comes along....;)

If Jill finds anything good, let me know! There are TONS of hotels in that area, just the waterpark feature would be a lot of fun.

Henry wants to put up a "laying down guy": :rotfl2: "He's laying down!" Ooop, "corn guy" now. popcorn::

DISing with him on my lap is always interesting....:goodvibes Time to read a book. Bambi is the choice today.

What are your dates for September? If they offer free dining I was thinking about a long weekend trip since we have our annual passes it would just be the cost of travel and the rooms. We might try and overlap your time if we do decide to go.

We're there a whole two weeks :cool1:, arriving on the 3rd Sept and leaving on the evening of the 17th

Hope you can work out another trip, would be even better if our dates overlap and we can arrange a meet :)

Please let me know if you are doing a dismeet. We will be there Sept 11-18th at BC.:banana:

We are looking at September as well. No details set though, so I haven't said much of anything about it. If it does happen it would be 9 nights and a bit before and after September 16th.

September 16th is a scheduled shuttle launch at Kennedy Space Center. Sometimes they move them a few days before/after, so we want to make sure all possible days are covered so Joe can go see it! :goodvibes

Darn real life. It is so annoying sometime.

Are you willing to travel that far for a meet?

Yes I would travel that for a Dis meet. I love the MOA. I have only been there once and I loved it. I would bring my dd Alexia and she can play with Brooklynn. I dont know if you remember but she is her birthday twin exactly a year older than Brooklynn. I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites across the street and just walked to the Mall. It wasnt too expensive and was nice and clean. I would love to go to the Disney Store. They closed the one here in Omaha when Disney bought them all back. The closest one to me now is in Kansas City and that is 3 hours away.

Mop your kids are adorable. I added you as a friend on facebook too.

Bella sure sounds like a little peanut- just like my Ben! He fell off the weight chart at 4 months and is still not on it. Back at his one year exam, he weighed only 18 pounds 1 ounce!! He is a healthy, happy, smart little boy. He is about to turn 6 and just hit 39" tall! He is the smallest of his class, but doesn't let it stop him at all! In fact, he hasn't stopped moving since he was in utero. :goodvibes

Btw, his doctor keeps asking if we should test him, but I have assured her he is just following my brother, my dad and my father-in-law. They may wait until 18 to finally shoot up, but he will.

Aw, Bella is just a little peanut, isn't she? Was Brooklynn small too when she was a baby? :)

Nope Brooklynn was an average baby and then at about 18 months she started growing and has remained in the 95th-98th percentile in height. She is several inches taller than all the kids in her class.

We found that to be very true with ball players through the years. If they were tall, people expected them to be great, and they forgot about their age and inexperience. On the flip side, people would overlook the short ones, no matter what their age, and they often ran circles around other players, much to their surprise!

We are in the same boat. I have priced so many trips since we've been home, but, there is just no way to take 2 this year. Joe says "Let's see what our tax return gives us..." but we both know we should apply that toward the house or toward DVC payment.

I've visited the Southwest site two dozen times and plugged in all kinds of dates. No aspect of the trip is overwhleming - the rooms are a good price, the flights aren't bad, we could take food - but when you add it all together, it just hurts a little. I could go with my friend, Kay, who has gone with us a few times, but Jill says she can't, so that would make it not nearly as fun. I'd love to fly, but driving down and staying only a night or two with Kay paying half would be all I could do.

I like Henry joining in the conversation.
That's just what I plan to do tonight, Henry...lay around. :goodvibes

Please let me know if you are doing a dismeet. We will be there Sept 11-18th at BC.:banana:

Hope that works out for you guys.

Did you ever get anyone to take a new box down for the fridge? It was in bad, bad shape. I'm not sure it qualified to be a box anymore. It was more like a grocery bag.

Aw, Bella is just a little peanut, isn't she? Was Brooklynn small too when she was a baby? :)

Brooklynn has always been stocky, and she had a big head. She's growing into it now. Bella just has small everything.

Well, small everything except for that grin! :)

We'll have to check out the Country Inn. We'll take advice from anyone who is familiar with the area.

Looks like it is going to be a 3 hour drive for us to get a Disney fix, too.

Total bummer, dude! (feeling a bit crushed, so I'm using my Crush voice)

:rotfl: Hey now, be nice!

Couldn't help it. :goodvibes

Trent was a peanut, too, but he didn't let that stop him from doing anything and everything, and he did it bigger, better, longer, and stronger because he had something to prove, I guess. He didn't get any size on him until high school, but he was quite successful in anything he set out to do in spite of his size.
