For all you people who never really get snow and want a snow day... Jackie the PJs go on inside out for snow days!

BTW I have one today, but feel lousy so I am not real happy about it!

When I was teaching we always told the kids to wear their jammies inside out for a snow day too. Also, you had to have your homework done. If you had homework unfinished - there was always school the next day. My 5th graders used to try interrogating everyone until the found the unlucky student who didn't listen to my warnings.

We got a two hour delay this morning, which I was also unhappy about. I am ready for our normal weekday routines again!

I hope I'm there, too. I have the Mickey Ice Cream Bar PJ's I will be wearing. Abby's school used to follow Murfreesboro City Schools, but now they are on thier own. I am worried since they don't have a bus system, they will have a better chance of having school. Is she goes, I will have to go to work. Look out for St. Rose in Murfreesboro on the school closing listings - keeping fingers crossed. Are you Metro Schools?

I am staying put until Ellie (our new princess's name) makes her debut so any weekend would be good for a possible Hippo Meet. We may have friends come visit MLK weekend.

We are having the same freezing temps all week here too and it is very strange. I don't ever remember it being this cold for this long. I mean, NC just doesn't get HIGH'S of 27 for even a few days, much less for weeks on end. I just don't know what to think. Not a very convincing argument for global warming! We don't have any snow in the forecast though. Why is that? It has rained so much lately and now that we are freezing, we get nothing!

We got back yesterday morning, but I confess, all I did the rest of the day was lounge around and rest after getting up at 4:30AM to catch that plane. I am starting on my TR today..I have a very cute picture of Brooklyn and my sister playing with the light-up toys, I'll make sure and post that.

Yup! I'm going to be sending pictures to Facebook, and probably photo-texting Katie, too. My friend from work is leaving for Disney on Friday, and she promised that, like the last time she went, she'll be photo-texting me. I'm already so excited for her pictures!

Ok, where have I been? Well to Disney for a week last month, followed by a much needed real life break that kept me away from the Dis so I suppose this is the reason I had no idea you lovely ladies started a new TR. I feel really out of the loop I tell ya! LOL! I wish I would have been around on New Year's Eve. Trent is a hoot! MeMom, you have such a great son. He seems like a lot of fun. I wanted to check in, tell you I'm here and alive. I cannot wait to read along with this new report. I hope to start a TR today perhaps! I feel like I can't live up to you guys though! It'll be a hard shadow to write in for sure. To make you all feel better about the weather, shall I tell you what our temp in MN was at 6am this morning? A balmy -34 it was! Be very jealous!!

O M G! I think I would die if I had to live somewhere where the temperature got that low! I guess I should not complain about a week of highs in the 30's!

Just joining in , as I did not even realize the MeMom gang was taking a December trip until I finished reading your previous TR today , not sure how I missed it ?

And a few days ago, I posted some very exciting news. Our April Disney trip is definitely happening!!! My mom prefers making the reservations through AAA(yay for discounts! Actually January is AAA Disney discount month or something like that), and we went to their office last Saturday...but they were closed for the weeked Because of their hours we have to wait until Saturday. My mom could just do it with them over the phone, but I like to be there when we make the reservations

We have had buses cancelled here for the last 2 days. the ground is barely covered here in Sarnia, but 1/2 hr drive down the road they have 4 ft of snow (lake effect sucks). I'm here with my fingers crossed that things get back to normal tomorrow!

so i'm sitting in my bed (since my bedroom is the warmest room in the house), watching TV and eating yummy, authentic main street popcorn out of my "celebrate the season" magic kingdom popcorn bucket!

"how's that," you say???

well, let's start at the beginning.

yesterday memom asked me if i'd gotten a package yet. nope, no package. so today after a very LONG and BORING and SAD day in juvenile court (yeah, one of those days) i come home and check my front porch for any packages. when i open the door, i see this box:

hmmmmm.....that's no small box.

i look at the return address......

it's from pop century!!!

what could it be??????

so i open it to see this.....

still a mystery.

at that point i reached into the box and pulled out a big bucket with a blue lid, what upon further inspection turned out to be a christmas-themed disney bucket. so i open the top and pieces of popcorn fly everywhere! (no worries....only a little was lost and the doggies enjoyed that! ) after that every time i'd reach in the box, i'd pull out another goodie. by the time i got to like the 4th item i was in tears. i was blubbering like an idiot!!! but they were very HAPPY tears. i was just so absolutely touched that someone would do something so nice for me for no reason at all other than to make me smile.

then came the best part, the note:

how sweet is that???????? i cannot even begin to tell you guys how touched i was! and this DEFINITELY made my day magical....VERY MAGICAL!!! it was one of those days and you have no idea how i needed this. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! i wish i could give you guys a real hug.

(in case you don't know, i am taking a disney hiatus right now and didn't go at all in 2009. we are planning on returning in december of this year, which will be 2 years since we were last there in december 2008. but are staying at WL and are SO excited!)

All caught up.

Looks like I missed some crazy action up at the camera. While I was up there I spoke with Dave and waved at the camera , so if anyone saw a crazy lady wave close to the camera about 10:30 or so it was me!

I can attest to the weather- we wore shorts and tees AND heavy winter coats and gloves. Crazy!!!!

In NC it is freezing! Highs at freezing and lows in the teens.

I am also wishing for a snow day on Thursday or Friday - need to check the weather again.

We had some magic on our trip- hardly any lines to deal with, crowd always just behind us and busses that would arrive as we walked up to the bus stop. Bathrooms on the other hand

Can't wait to hear all about your adventure.
