Hope this topic hasn't been done yet, but I'm curious. Has anyone ever gone on a ride with a Disney character before? I actually saw it done and never thought it could happen! My sister and I were riding Autopia and were coming back from driving around. Standing there, honestly not kidding, was one of the Chipmunks and a kid! I can't remember if it was Chip or Dale, my memory is trying to recall the color of the nose, but I can't at the moment. But, anyway, he was standing by the stop where my sister pulled up and he reached a paw out to help her out of the car! He then got in the driver seat and the kid got in next to him! I was in the car behind, laughing like crazy and snapping pictures. I need to find where the pictures are, this was either '07 or '06 when this happened.

So, has anyone done a ride with a Disney character or seen it done before? I'd love to hear stories! :)

My DH, and I were picked to ride with Mary by her at WDW. She remembered us from her b-fast at 1900 park fare. The pic is priceless.

A few years ago our son was standing near Mary Poppins and she took a group of kids on the carosaul with Bert. This past trip our daughter asked the Mad Hatter if he would like to come on Space Mountain with her and he said he would love to but wasn't allowed because of his hat. Needless to say I asked if I could borrow his hat because I didn't want to go on Space Mountain, he laughed and I ended up going on Space Mountain.

I have seen Mary and Burt on the carousel with people but never had the honor to do myself. Unfortunately it appears they are discontinuing this.

We were with Goofy and Donald on the Teacups ride in March. First, they rode by themselves, then a CM picked two people to ride with them the second round. We were on the ride that second time through. (I am on the ride and taking the picture)

When my son was two years old (back in Dec. of 2003) my DH, DD (7 at the time) went straight back to Splash Mountain when Disneyland opened and all the Pooh characters were coming out. It was my family (just us 4) with Pooh, Tiger and Eeyore. My daughter and DH hung out for a few minutes but she had to ride Splash so my son and I stayed and hugged the characters and all. After a few minutes Eeyore took my son's hand and walked him over to the Winnie the Pooh ride and they rode together (with me filming the whole thing).

The interesting thing is now the characters don't come out till 10 AM and there is always a line to see them. I know now how rare this event was. On the same trip we were back by It's A Small World at park opening and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto were walking back toward Toontown (again no one was around!). They stopped played with my kids and one of the cast members took a family picture of us with all the characters! We used it as our Christmas card that year!

I guess we have been really blessed with character events :)

Ummmmm, Tea cups??;)

Last christmas my son got to ride autopia with mickey, they said they were shooting promotional shots and by entering the park you are consenting the use of your picture...

We were waiting for the Carousel and saw Mary Poppins riding it - I can't remember which trip it was so I can't find the picture I took. The one shot I got was blurry so I may have deleted it. It was fun to see though.
