Riddling today?

Either tonight late or tomorrow midday, Bernie.

Wanna have a good laugh? He called me on Wednesday because he had realized he didn't tell me where he was. I just knew he was in CT. THE GREAT STATE OF. I didn't know where he was staying and what firm he was at.

LOL LOL LOL

I was wondering when he was going to figure out I didn't know that stuff.....:p :p

Good morning to all my riddle friends! I'm glad to see you all this morning and you've certainly made me smile and laugh at some of the comments here today! Thank you!

I pray that this ends as quickly as possible and that there is as little loss of life as possible.

DblD, I hope that you feel better soon! Nothing worse than feeling like that and having to carry on with work, especially when it's something like budget meetings!

Laura, I think you ought to go on your vacation too.

I hve no idea about the riddle, but I have a spare pair of pants from yesterday, so I'll be dressed at work today. Speaking of which, I have to run and get ready to go. See you all later!!

I don't usually respond to this thread but today I thought I'd stop and say Hi.

If I manage to have my brain function, I send an PM and get my once a month pants.

Good morning all and hope our men and women are safe. I hope the innocent people are safe and this is all over soon.

No guess today, my mind is clouded with other things.

Take care all!

Gina, when my DH travels for work, he always gives me a copy of his itinerary so I have phone numbers and everythin. He usually calls me every night about the time I get done with dogs, but sometimes he falls asleep. When that happens, I have to call the hotel and wake him up so he doesn't wake me up after midnight when he wakes up and realizes he forgot to call!

Have a good walk, OK! It's a bit wet out for a walk here today. A little chilly too! Even so, though, it sounds like spring! Geese are looking for a nesting area just north of our house, and I hear a tern out there now too. The small birds usually at our feeders have stopped coming now. That usually means they are spending too much time looking for a mate!;)

Anyone one to give a poor unfortunate "dumb" riddler a clue????Pretty please???!!!:)

Good morning, Kathy....:)

Hi, Denise! :)

I ended up driving Katie in to school today. The rain started up again here.

Gina - I'm glad he shared those details with you!!! LOL! :p

DD went to Chicago last weekend to audition for a cruise ship job. Not sure how good her chances are, since MOST of the auditioners were also drummers. I was hoping she would get it, but with the current conditions, now I am not so sure!

Does anyone else get a panic feeling when they hear an airplane that doesn't "sound right"? We have had a lot of military aircraft flying over all night and this morning. I can imagine there are a lot more out at the new house, since that is in a military fly zone path, but my heart stops a little everytime I hear those military planes!:(

Diane.....I know what you mean. We're in a flight pattern also and when I hear a plane flying really low or several more than expected, then I run outside to see what is going on.

Though I have to tell you, the most frightening sound in my life was the sound of NO planes after 9/11 for a few days. Then the sound of military planes. Very, very scary. I'd look up at the sky and couldn't see anything....just hear them.

A couple weeks after 9/11, we were at our national specialty dog show in Philadelphia. It was when they started bombing the caves to get Bin Ladden. We were sitting at ring side when we heard and saw the bombers overhead. There were about 20,000 people at that outdoor show, and you could have heard a pin drop if it wasn't for the barking of the dogs!

Good morning everyone....

my thoughts go out to our service people, their families and friends, and to the innocent families both here and in the gulf that just want to go to work, raise their families, and live in peace. There will be some tough days ahead and I hope the strength of love and hope will prevail.

(my 2 cents)

btw I don't mean to be a downer....I just have a lot of mixed emotions about the whole thing.

On a lighter note......I must re-read the riddle yet again because alas I am CLUELESS! lol

Good morning, riddles. Bernie, thank you so much for your special words this morning. My thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by all of this....

As far as the trip I am supposed to be taking to California next week, I just don't think I am going to be able to go! I know we *should* live our lives and all that, but since I have such a major fear of flying even in the BEST of times, I just don't see how I can do it! :(

As far as the riddle today, any clues for the clueless???? :)

Clues Hmmm I need them too. I have sent two more "guesses" to OK, but I think he is off line right now.

I would say,"two, four six, eight, who do we appreciate?", but not sure that is a clue!

Cyn - Feel free to speak your mind. We all have a lot on our minds and in our hearts this morning....

Diane - I know EXACTLY the feeling you mean. I'm not a great flyer and that sound always gets to me....

Donna - I hope that you can, somehow, make the trip - but I can certainly understand your trepidation....

As to clues - they would be size of one, half a dozen of the other...:)

Whew!!! Hard work getting those easy riddle pants this morning! I must be in a down rhythm today!!:p

And you a music major, Diane! You should be used to counting!

LOL LOL

Cyn....we're all there. Holding our breath and scared. Hugs to you and all on the CB today. Oh....and my teeth are brushed! LOL!

Airplane observations to share.

We live about a mile away from our state airport...although luckily not directly in any flight path! The quiet in the days following 9/11 was eerie.

I'll also never forget when JFK Jr's plane was missing because many of the search planes and helicopters were overhead...we're also close to Narragansett bay.

Finally, when we were in WDW in October, 2001 it was still a no-fly zone. One evening we were in Epcot there was a small plane was buzzing overhead for a few minutes and it was scary. It turned out it was an inexperienced private pilot who got off course.

I'm still clueless on the riddle....and work keeps de-railing my train of thought.
