Whew! Some weekend! My was a bit more tame, but getting those outdoor Christmas lights up was a real test of nerves, strength and endurance.
The untangling just kills me.
Nice weekend, Bernie. I really have to ask, though....are you afraid to smile at Sharon's Christmas party? I know I would be......
A bit twinkly outside here also this morning. Our temps are up enough, though, that it won't last. Oh, wait....I left the house lights on all night........
Well - I do want to thank all the 'guest' riddlers.....
Actually - y'all are great and certainly welcome to post a riddle any time you feel the urge!
Tell ya' what....I'll resume again tomorrow with the riddle.
I'll be able to go this week and into next week, but the holiday season is shaping up to be very, very busy. We are having a family reunion for the holidays, with my out-of-town brothers flying in with their families. We're looking forward to a great time together. Lots of sleepovers with my nieces and nephews. My kids are grandly excited!
So....the 'regular' riddle starts again tomorrow. Breaks for the holidays. Then returns in full force.
OH, yeah, I forgot to post Friday's answer. So sorry.
And for those purists, M&M is the ultimate junk food candy! I just had to have it as an alternate answer. It also helps that it's one of my favorite candies....
I had another interesting alternate. K and D. I liked that one also so I awarded the much coveted candy cane.
LOL, Gina! I smile away, though I will admit I was a bit nervous at the first of the parties I went to.
But the way I eat, they all know better than to get their hands any where near my mouth when I'm grazing!!!
*SAPPY MOMENT WARNING*
Much has been talked about on the CB in the past few days about people being mean and what this whole thing (the DIS and the CB) is about. I admit I haven't read it all - much too busy this weekend to keep up.
I do want to thank all of my riddle friends - from those who post a dozen times a day on the riddle to those who occasionally peek in - for the friendship and fun you've shared here.
You are a great group and I do hope to be able to deliver a heartfelt hug to every one of you in person one day.
You make me smile every day, laugh most days, and you always get my day off to a wonderful start.
DS had an away hockey game on Saturday night & the other tam forgot to order the refs so their coach strapped on some skates to ref & they called it a scrimmage. They did reschedule the game for Jan.
Anyway...during warm ups the boys were hitting pucks against the boards & my DS who doesn't have a hard slap shot accidentaly hit it out over the boards. Their boards were very low... It didn't hit anyone!! but there was a Dad from the other team that went ballistic! He jumped up shaking his finger at my son & screaming at him. Scared DS to death!
Sometimes I'm amazed at the behavior of other adults....
Matt and I hung those icicle lights on the house. I've had them for several years now and the darned things STILL don't hang down straight. Then bend and point off in all different directions.
I've said it before, but ny house looks like it's having a bad hair day.
It is interesting having an adult child in the house. Matt is 18. He has school and his job to contend with. And a very active social life. We're learning to appreciate the moments he can share with us a bit more - there are fewer of them now. ANd he's not so adult that he doesn't fall into fits of teenage pique. So we're doubly happy when he shares his time AND he's in good humor!!!!
Lars - I am constantly amazed at the behavior of some adults at these games and activities. Some people take things WAY too seriously!
Thanks goodness you run into many more nice people than crazy ones.
OK-I am picturing your house having a bad hair day LOL
My BIL put one blue light bulb at the end of each icicle strand just to be different
My DD was instant messaging with Santa the other day. AOL offers it and it was really cute! he asked her age & she said 13 so he said "Don't ask me for a car"
