My DH has brown eyes so it doesn't work. He walked out of the house without his wallet today.....luckily he must have figured it out somewhere close to home because he walked back in 5 minutes later to retrieve it.


Hope that cement gets poured soon, Diane. Mother Nature sure does whatever she can to make a nice, easy job soooooo complicated, doesn't she?

I think they can pour into the ICF even below freezing, because the styro protects the curing concrete some. It just takes a little longer to cure when the temps are below freezing. I think the warmer weekend will help. Of course, all of this depends on the inspection of the ICF on Thursday. They are doing some more work on the driveway today. Our driveway will be about 700 feet long, so it is no easy task. They also have to prepare a staging area for the log trucks to turn around and be in position for unloading. The garage/kennel is scheduled to be here November 13.

What kind of roof, Ranatra? We are going to use standing seam steel. That will be a new experience for us.

The roof will be dark burgandy. The logs will have a honey color finish, and the window trim is dark green.
