RMC lives on! I think everyone has just been so busy that it's hard to get in a lot of chat these days.:( I don't want this thread to die since it's the only place where I know I can find all of you.

When you find me, will you let me know???

Hey, at least I know what a Twp is!!!!!!!!!

Kids will be home from CCD soon and we're heading out to pick up my mom and meeting some cousins (the Irish-side of the family) for dinner. I'll try to stop back later.

corned beef is in the oven, veggies are starting to cook, DS has run across the street for cider vinegar....and house is clean....expecting the District Executive for scouts for dinner.

Will check back later!!!!!!

We had the old Irish favorite, fish sticks and french fries. Kids need to get out to band practice.

Evening all... I feel a tad bit out of place... I had left over Chinese for dinner

I hope you are all doing well and in no way shape or form should we let this one die!!!!!

I'll stop back later :)

We've got fish sticks in the freezer!!!

Our dinner out was nice.....DH had to work so we brought him home some corned beef and cabbage. To round out the nationalities, we had zeppoles at my cousin's house for dessert. She's Italian and Irish......so am I...with some Swedish thrown in too. Add DH's Greek and our kids are quite a mix!

Good evening.

It was a beautiful day today. We even heard the spring peepers, a sure sign that spring is coming.

What in the world is a zeppoles....nevermind...my diet might not want to know.....

Carol, it was beautiful here today as well. We are getting little buds here and there and just so spring like!!!

Gail, I'd love to know what zeppoles are... just whisper it to me so Steph doesn't have to hear ;)

Steph - don't listen!
A zeppole (zay-po-la) is an Italian pastry that can kill a diet in a few bites. It's a ring of pastry, about the size of a donut, that's either baked or fried...and filled with a custard (kind of like the filling in a boston creme pie) There's also the same cream or powdered sugar (or both!) on the top of the pastry ring along with a maraschino cherry.

It's traditional for St. Joseph's Day (March 19) and there are lot's of different ways of making them....and of course everyone thinks theirs is the "best" way.

Oh wow!!!!! Gail I just gained 10 pounds from seeing and reading about those :p

You're so right! I usually can't even eat a whole one. DD had a few bites and I brought part of mine home to pick on another day. They're actually too sweet for me but once a year it's fun!

Besides, the Irish aren't too famous for desserts :D

I bet they are hard to finish... if I ever come across one, I will make sure I share it with Luis :)

Well it took me awhile ... but I joined the NCAA DIS Riddlers pool !
After you register and log in, click the button that says
"Create an Entry". It's after you click this that you'll have the
option to join a group .... after clicking join a group you can search for the group name "DIS Riddlers" and then join and make your picks ... hope I explained that right and that I didn't miss somewhere else to click :D If I did, the meister can set us straight !

Three cheers for Sandy!!! The trick to the search for the group was to enter the name with the proper upper and lower case letters! It worked for me by searching under "DIS Riddlers"

I'm in too!!!

Claiming ignorance in the whole March Madness thing.....that is my brother's department...he'll be at the Final Four games......

I'm with you Steph.......I know zippo about the NCAA.

Stephanie and Laura - that's the whole point about March Madness! I also know nada about basketball, but I love to fill out the brackets and see how my teams are doing. You can really get caught up in the "madness". I think you should both fill out an entry in Bernie's pool just for the heck of it. One year at work, a girl filled out her entry by picking the teams with the nicest colors and she ended up finishing in the top 10 and won some $ LOL!
