I love my home resort (OKW) and stay there most frequently, but I have stayed at the BCV & BWV as well. I do look forward to staying at VWL & SSR as well.

I really enjoy SSR, we stayed at the Disney Institute before SSR, we like being close to DTD since we travel in the off season and the park hours are shorter.

So far we've stayed at SSR, OKW, BWV and I still keep going back to SSR.

We bought where we wanted to stay for both of our properties and then make our reservations based on the season and our feelings at the moment. It is nice to have options. Love our DVC!!!

We have 3 home resorts, but we do 'sleep around', we also like to stay at BWV and SSR. That's one of the best thing about DVC, you can stay at so many world class resorts!!!

We love BWV and have most of our points there so we stay there more often, usually in the spring. We also own at BCV and love to stay there for our shorter vacation (1 week) in the fall. We just purchases SSR and have yet to stay there.

We own at the BWV and have only stayed there when we are at WDW. Did use points once for a few nights at VB and once for the DLH.

But for a WDW visit, I don't anticipate staying anywhere but the BWV - just can't give up the great location.

I own at HH and SSR, I've said it before and I'll say it again....half the fun of DVC is experiencing all the different resorts. So, yup. I like to sleep around!!

We just cleared ROFR for a small resale contract at HHI.
My intent is to sleep around in order to determine which WDW resort is best suited for my family. Then, I will buy a larger resale contract at that resort. Hope that's not viewed as unacceptable by DVC veterans.

Toss up between the last two options. We have our favorites but will stay at each resort many times.

Well....we originally bought BWV...then added on at VWL....then added on again at OKW.......THEN we took our first trip "home".

We stayed two nights at VWL....thought it was gorgeous!!! Then, moved to BWV....thought it was amazing!!! Then, we walked over to BCV, and felt "at home".

We decided to give our resorts one more shot. We took another trip to OKW...it is very beautiful, but it's just not for us.

We sold our points and bought at BCV.

Now we feel that our time at WDW is so limited....we're just going to stay at BCV, unless we cannot get our home...then, we'll try another.

I didn't vote since I am a new DVCer and haven't stayed anywhere with our points yet, but will soon! I just wanted to add my .02

I do know that I would like to at least try all of the DVC resorts once. That's my plan since I haven't been to WDW ever. Also maybe combine some stays at the other WDW resorts with my DVC stays, like a couple days at the beginning or end of our trips. There are so many there that I would love to try and just haven't made it there yet I am going to rectify that though

We stay at BCV for the F&W and Christmas- NY's week. We like to stay at OKW in the summer. We also like VWL and HHI every so often. So I guess we sleep around too!

We have stayed at the Beach Club at least 20 times. Favorite resort at Disney. Thinking of buying at Saratoga Springs. If we don't feel as at home there, how hard will it be to trade points to BCV in the summer?

You sound like an ideal "buy where you want to stay" candidate. Check out Saratoga before you buy, if you think you will consistently be trying to stay at BCV then I would recommend buying there.

We own at BCV and VWL. Haven't stayed at VWL yet an will try HHI on the way back at Xmas, and Vero for a few days to try it out and then the following year and then we've slept around! We bught at BCV because that;s where they were selling. I don't need to stay there all the time. Wherever is fine for me as long as the bed is comfy! I'd like to trade out sometime, but when we c an be more flexible.

We also bought originally at OKW because that was the only thing available. And then we stayed at BWV and bought an add-on there since we loved, loved, loved the location - walking distance to Epcot and the Studios! But that didn't quite give us enough home resort points at BWV, so we bought a BWV resale. I still think OKW has the nicest and largest units (it was the one-bedroom at OKW that convinced us to buy!), and I'm not disappointed if I "have" to stay at OKW, but it's just SO hard to beat that BWV location! We've tried VWL and BCV and they are just not for us, so I'm happy with the points we have...though if there were some way I could magically transform my OKW points into BWV points, I would do it!

I agree!! While I think you will have little problem "most" of the time getting into BCV, and while I am beginning to move to the camp of "it doesn't matter where you own", I think there are a few of us who REALLY need to own where we want to stay all the time.

Ask yourself this....if you could not get into BCV....how upset would you be? Would it be okay, "Hey...we're still at WDW!!!"? Or, would it be, "Well....it just seems like a waste of our precious vacation time if we can't stay the one place that seems like "vacation" to us?
