Resort Hoppin' with Wigd and Shocker! Contests!

Such a multi-tasker you are! I'm like Jackie - I'll take a change in careers. Maybe I can help you take pictures when you are busy bandaging boo-boos or singing.

Or I could write for the town newspaper - the DIStown Gazette.

Or just be the town babysitter.

You're right. Too much multitasking is not good. I'll drop the nursing part!

And yes MeMom, you should write the town newspaper and be the party planner. We need a better name for that. Oh yeah - Event Coordinator! :rotfl:

Wigd -

Hope all goes well today. Lots of good wishes going out to you from all over the country! :flower3:

Anita, I hope everything goes well today with your surgery. Sending you many happy thoughts and pixie dust for a quick recovery. You'll be in our prayers :grouphug:

Posted on FB, but wanted to say prayers and wishes for a fast and speedy recovery!

I have gotten pretty handy with a lawn mower and weed wacker this summer, so I could keep DisTown looking ship shape. And if the mid-wife job is still open in DisTown I got it covered too. After all I watch A Baby Story on TLC all the time so I'm qualified!

Marc: Wigd was taken in for surgery at 10:00. Her doctor had an emergency at the hospital, so his assistant, Dr. Frank N. Stein, is performing the procedure.

Can you make topiaries like they have at the Flower & Garden Festival in my yard, please? :)

I watch Baby Story, too, in the summer when I happen across it.

Okay, so that's not very often, but I have seen it.

I cry just about every time, though, so I would probably not be a good nurse/midwife.

This DIStown doctor sounds a little frightening! :scared1:
Did we approve him???

I hope the surgery did what it needed to do so that she can get back in action. If it works, I might get dear Doctor Frankie Stein to give me some new legs! :)

How much school will she miss, if any? I'm not sure when you guys start.

Hope not! Then my husband won't have a job. :rotfl: Although with the number of teachers we have, there sounds like there will be a lot of kids! Maybe we can get a second doctor. Though with a midwife, may not be necessary!

Wigd - hope you are recovering well! Been thinking about you today.

MeMom, what kind of knee surgery did you have? My mom had hers almost a month ago and the doctor told her she'd be like new in 3 days and she is still hobbling around miserable. :sad2:

I am not caught up on what all is filled in DIStown but I could

Join Mary Ellen in the Marching Band

Create the sales and marketing collateral needed to bring folks to DIStown including a digital media campaign

Be a personal (shoe)shopper

Moonlight as a Cocktail Waitress

I'm sure there is something more interesting but for the life of me, I can't think of it!

Glad you are on your way home Anita!

Torn meniscus, arthritis, and something else - something about a 'flap' of bone or tissue or something.

He told me he would NOT be able to get me to 100%, but he could get me some degree of relief. I have a dull pain rather than a sharp pain now, so it is better. What's killing me now is the plantar fasciitis in the left heel. It is painful! Between the two legs, I am the walking wounded, and I don't like it one bit. :headache:

I want to get up and walk normally from morning until night, but it's just not happening. The good thing is the plantar fasciitis should heal eventually, so there is hope for a less hobbly tomorrow...someday. :)

Wigd is resting, somewhat comfortably, while attached to a machine that circulates ice water to a wrap on her shoulder. Thanks for everyone's kind words and well wishes!

Good to hear.
Hopefully, she'll be back to doing this :woohoo: and this :yay: soon.

Thanks for the update, Shocker. That sounds like quite a contraption! Hope you both get a good night's sleep tonight! :goodvibes

This would be great to have at Disney in the summer, do they make a portable one?

I hope Wigd is comfortable tonight! Did they give her some good pain meds? Hopefully she will feel better quick and come on back to the DIS - we're planning a whole town while she's absent and we really need her input!!!
