A few little updates while I wait in the Skyliner line.

Lobby renovations are looking great! Minor changes but it freshens things up!

We arrived home late Wed to find sheets hanging over racks in the closed store and scaffolding in the main hall.




What was gold is now green and fresh!


Will share more lobby pics later. Per the ONE CM I asked, the shadow boxes should still be there but I’ll feel more confident once I can see for sure.

lol, they know us Pop people are passionate so they literally stapled the curtains around the mid-refurb shadow boxes closed. Ask me how I know.

Thanks for the update pics. I agree those shadow boxes better stay put. I have my favorites I check out every trip. Wishing you a continued fun vacation and great weather. Enjoy.

Can someone who is at Pop now or was there recently confirm whether 1/2 gallons of milk are available at Everything Pop? I know there was discussion in 2024 about that no longer being available, but I was hopeful that it was brought back. Thank you!

They don't currently have 1/2 gallons at Pop Century.

However, you don't have to go all the way to the Boardwalk. Get off the Skyliner at Riviera, which is a DVC resort and has 1/2 gallon milk in their lobby gift shop. (It's a floor up, not on the ground floor when approaching from Skyliner side)

Pop and AoA always used to have half gallons of milk but stopped carrying them a year or so ago. They need to bring them back.

I will say I asked a second CM about the shadow boxes today and sadly her understanding is that they are going away. Both my daughter and I tend to feel she has the more accurate information. Her understanding was it had to do with the royalties that were being paid annually to companies such as Mattel, etc. Makes sense.

Time will tell what those walls look like but we are now fully prepared that the shadow boxes may go.

As soon as I saw the curtains,I knew it was CURTAINS for the Shadow Boxes.

So after 22 years royalties became unbearable?

That doesn't make sense to me and it seems like Mattel,etc. would not demand royalties,but would be happy for the free advertisement.

Just my 2 cents,but I would lean to it is just Disney's LOVE for CHANGE!

Much in the same way they recently removed all the framed pictures at the All-Stars.

Change is part of Disney's DNA and when The Mouse decides it is time for something to go it will go no matter its popularity.

I am sitting at the computer pool right now and the background music is playing and I love it!

I also wrote a snail mail room request letter together with my Touring Plans request and our requests were generally filled. My flight down was delayed five hours, so my sister checked in for us. She is not as assertive as I am and just accepted the rooms; it’s fine and we are having a great time.

I miss the shadow boxes. We will see what they do with the space. I can handle change as long as it’s good change.
