Yes…the OTU point rules don’t change. If you can buy them for full price, you can buy them BOGO.

It’s only the price that is different. I bought mine for my June 2025 UY back in April.

I didn't think I'd be purchasing OTUP so sort of ignored this, but here I am with questions!

I have two memberships and have purchased MMB on one of them.

I have a January 2026 reservation booked at SSR under my September UY membership. I modified it at 7 months so I believe I can swap in OTUP, if I purchase them. My daughter has just informed me she really really really really wants to stay at Poly, and my husband and I are fair game for this, but a Poly 2-bedroom would require 46 more points than I have (and it's worth mentioning that I have absolutely no expectation that this waitlist would get fulfilled at this point!). Can I purchase OTUP in on my MMB membership, have my husband by into MMB and purchase OTUP on our other membership (Oct UY) and then use both sets of OTUP on a Poly reservation if my some miracle the waitlist gets filled? If I can do that, how do I go about doing that? Assuming this waitlist will NOT get filled, can I still swap in those OTUP to my Saratoga reservation and then bank some SSR points?

Of course, we actually own Poly direct points, but since we weren't certain what my kiddo's college/work schedule would be for January until now, we didn't put much forethought into this January trip and didn't book during our 11 month window.

OTU points can’t be transferred so you can’t use one’s purchased in two different memberships for the same reservation.

So, each of you can purchase MMB and become eligible to buy the BOGO free points on your different memberships but you’d need to book some nights with them the membrrhip in which you purchased them.

Thanks! That's sort of what I figured. I'm actually not sure which membership I have the MMB on. It doesn't seem to differentiate when I look at my profile and order details, and I don't recall that they asked me when I purchased. I'll have to call to figure that out. At any rate, presuming I have it on the membership this reservation is on, I can call in to MS to buy the points and book a 24 point room in my September 25 UY, then cancel that reservation myself and have the points available to use, correct?

Yes, you’ll buy them in increments. In order to buy OTUP, you must be in the process of booking a 7-month reservation, and MS will sell you only enough OTUP to complete the reservation.

Sorry, OTUP can’t be used on a reservation made in the home resort booking period. The points may or may not have the same home resort. You’ll have to wait until you’re in the 7-month window. Good luck!

The maximum number of OTUP that you can obtain per use year is 24.

You can buy up to 24 or in your case since you have MMB you can buy up to 12 which would then grant another 12 totaling 24 for your use year.
