Just doing some early brainstorming for sept 2007. Our baby will be about one. I plan to bring my mom and step dad. They are in good health but not up to going commando in the sept heat. I want it to be as relaxed as possible for us all. I am leaning to the Poly, first floor so that the baby can play outside with out my mon having to deal with stairs or an evevator. Any thoughts or past experience? Thanks for the info! :goodvibes

If you plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel the Poly would definately be nice. If you're looking for something to stimulate your child though and you plan on spending a lot of time in the parks, something simpler might be the way to go.

We took our 2 almost 3 year old daughter down for a week in January and stayed at the Pop Century. My husbands parents stayed in an adjoining room for 5 days. For the amount of time we spent in the room, the added expense of staying at a nicer resort wouldn't have been worth it.

Plus the theming at the Pop (and all the All-Stars) is very appealing to kids. We have had friends and neighbors who have said the same thing, especially about All-Star Movies.

Just something to consider.

Never been to the poly, but we stayed at the contemporary with our baby, and it was really nice to be able to hop on the monorail and make QUICK trips to the magic kingdom. Long bus rides with a baby and stroller can be tiring. Honestly, one year olds are REALLY FLEXIBLE- any resort that makes the old folks happy will please your baby too. Babies at that age like music, colorful lights, water and ripping stuff to shreds.

I vote for the Poly!!! We have stayed there twice so far (once with the grandparents) and it is great! :cool1: princess:

Another vote for Poly! We stayed there with Gma and Gpa when DD was 2. The monorail is so convenient! We could sit on the balcony with a drink while she napped. We also got connecting rooms with the grandparents, which was helpful when we stayed out later with DS who was 6.

We stayed at Wilderness Lodge with the Grandparents last year. Mainly it was for my Dad. He tends to get very stressed & grumpy in crowds and stuff, so I thought the Wilderness Lodge would be a nice escape. My parents ended up getting upgraded to an awesome pool view and LOVED the place - they even bought a postcard so they could show people where their room was! There was a bit of walking involved to get to the boat and busses, but that wasn't an issue for them. The Poly sounds nice though.

We stay at the CR in a wing room. A nice about CR wing rooms is that our car was right out the door. We could walk out and watch the water parade, or head to the outdoor platfrom and watch the fireworks at MK. Being on the monorail is the best way to go, especially with little ones. It makes heading back for a break so easy. Youre one stop coming from MK, and a fun/scenic ride from Epcot. You could even walk from MK if up to it. Sometimes you need to take a bus (AK, MGM, DTD) but its not that bad. I would like to try the Poly, but tradition has us at CR. We have also stayed at GF a few times which is also nice. We did have to walk more though to get to our room.
