My resort tweaking had started to really get out of hand, on top of my originals tweaks (many posts ago lol) I then went with the Poly, then AKL, then Poly, then Swan, then considered Portofino Bay. I think I've now got to where I feel comfortable , first part of the stay at the Beach Club (free dining offer through Disney UK), then my last couple of nights at the Swan (always wanted to try there). I'm just no longer prepared to pay full Disney prices any more for club level, if a GP discount comes out then I'll consider club level again but only if.

Don't feel bad. I have been all over the place, and I still don't feel like I know where I'll stay in August. I am definitely settled with the Universal/ St.Petes portion, unless AP rates come out then, here I go again

I just wanted to say among the Monorail Resorts the Contemporary is the only one with a full Theme Park View of the Magic Kingdom because you see virtually everything, where as at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian it's just a view of Cinderella's Castle or Space Mountain. So I personally think they have the real defenition of a Theme Park View should be which is the whole Magic Kingdom and not one or two parts of it.

So the plans now are: August St. Pete Beach/Portofino @ US/IoA/BWI (but I still have GF booked just in case)And I am NOT changing my ticker again

May 2012-Split stay @ Pop/Ready....Poly Princess Suite vs. 2 connecting TPV Atrium Club Level at CR vs. 2 connecting GF RPC vs 2 bedroom suite Outer Building GF. I have over a year to obsess

I like your August plan - except for the part about not being there when we are! But I would totally take the BWI Deluxe room - it's a good value for what you get and the room is huge!

For May I like the 2 bedroom suite at GF outer building. It's somewhat cost effective and the suites look amazing. Isn't the Everglades Suite on of the 2 bedroom ones? Or you could just stick with the Poly.

No need to plug the thread. Already checkin it out. You could NEVER be boring, I don't see it I am starting to think I will NEVER pick a resort for next May. I was thinking of cancelling GF for August, because MAYBE we will go next year. I could save a bunch staying at BWI, because I only need 1 Deluxe room.....Next year I could do a split stay CR/GF. What about the Poly???????Why am I worried about a trip over 13 months away when I can't pick my trip that's 4 months away?

Now that sounds like a plan. I agree on the CL prices with no discount. I won't pay full price either - unless it's at AKL - then I might.

Most of the resort FAQs are extremely helpful and kind. It's the other boards that scare me! I've seen so much hostility and harshness on the Budget, Transportation, and Community boards!

They are, but some of the people on the resorts boards get rather cliquish and don't take well to newcomers.

I totally understand. I was obsessing over our WDW trip which isn't until July and I forgot all about spring break in a few weeks.

Where are you going for Spring Break? Do you have a WDW trip planned for then too?

You are kidding me!

Well for the best TPV rooms you're looking at the Princess Suite at Poly or two rooms in Hawaii TPV or two rooms in Tahiti or Tuvalu no CL. The TPV rooms are good in both CR and GF, as long as you keep in mind that you have a side view of MK, not the dead on Castle view like you do at Poly.

GF and CR both have good CL's, but not great TPV's IMO.

In that case drop the BWI deluxe idea that I mentioned earlier, and book GF instead so you can get a feel for the place. It is a nice resort, but the room decor makes me a little Just a little too frufru for me.

It's interesting the "tone" that some threads can take on. ANYTHING goes on the CB and while it can be very entertaining, it can also get very contentious and usually the whole point of the OP ends up lost.

I've not really looked at the Budget and Trans. boards much. What could they possibly be getting riled up about over there?

I swear most of these people would never say these things to someone's face! They can be SO rude. I just don't get it.

The Trans. board gets huffy over people wanting cheap airfare, people preferring a higher ticket price VS paying per checked bag, and choosing the best price VS allegiance to one airline.

Budget board has uptight people who care way too much what credits people get on their taxes, how much people spend, how much others are in debt, pulling kids from school to go during value season, etc. It's insane! Really I'd like to remind them that someone else's finances are none of their business sometimes!

What part of NJ are you in? You should meet me in Sea Isle City this summer!

Is it sad that I've memorized my reservation number? I've keyed it in so many times that I know it by heart now.

@WDWKOOK: I need a map of Epcot, MK and WDW. I don't like the ones I'm finding online because they aren't big enough. I'd much rather have the physical map in my hands. lol I already have my ADRs made. I only needed two. My gramma and I don't want to be tied down by reservations. I also have not received an email from them. And you guys are not boring.

Only Club Level is available at CR right now with my PIN so I'll be calling back first thing tomorrow. It's the 45 mark and I expect quite a few cancellations!

I have no clue which days I'm going to which parks. It's tough to decide. I really want to be at MK til 2am on the day I arrive. At least maybe late evening to 2am so I miss most of the crowd. It's such a tough decision.

Duh! I already have the Unofficial Guide to WDW! Their maps aren't that great though. I know the Disney Store sells one of the WDW guides, but I don't know which one. I need to go to the mall soon anyways so I'll have to check it out.

The passporter maps are awesome! I love this planner. I officially upgraded from POR to YC I am so happy to be staying in deluxe. DS is excite about SAB. Maybe this time we can take resort breaks...last year's trip...we were in the parks all day cause DS did not want to leave Not this year....I am a quick learner...

Yay! It's so cool because the back is a mini binder with a folder/pocket for each day where you can write your plans and such and put your receipts in it to keep track of spending. I wrote our ADR numbers for each day on them which is great for those pre-park opening ADRs where you need to bring the number to the gate! I also kept each receipt for each day and used those to see how cost effective the DxDDP was or the DDP (whichever we're on) and to see how much I spend OOP on food and other things. This thing is just GREAT for my OCD! The only thing I won't fill in until we're leaving is the resort info! I learned that the hard way with the first one I owned. Even though I used pencil, after erasing so many times I needed white out!
