Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I AM SO EXCITED!!!! There was a room available with my PIN!!! It was for club level, but I will take what I can get! It's $66 more per night than the Magic Kingdom view so that's not too bad, but I will still call back for the Magic Kingdom view or Bay Lake View. If it's not available I will stick with Club Level. How is club level at CR? Where is it exactly? Will I be on the Bay Lake side or Magic Kingdom side?

$381 per night doesn't sound too bad for me. It's about $93 more per night than the BWI Water View so that's not too bad! I just really want to be on a monorail resort. It will be best for us because we are going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot only as far as I know, but we might go to MGM. If I wanted to go to MGM what would be the easiest way to get there?

I hope you guys can feel my happiness where you are because I'm just exploding with excitement!

I am very excited for you!!!That's great. You can grab the bus from CR to the Studios. I think you will love the CL, and no matter what you'll have a great view from what I have read. :cheer2:

Thank you so much! I think my gramma will like Club Level and they have two queen beds so I don't have to request that! I'm going to wait to tell my gramma just in case I end up getting a Magic Kingdom view. Though I'm hoping to get it before the 27th. We are meeting my cousin's fiancee that day and I have a feeling the trip will be talked about.

I'm reading the CR website that was linked a few posts back and it looks amazing! I'm so giddy and excited!!!

I already responded to your CR thread post, but I'm still confused as to why you don't know which view you booked, unless you booked the Tower Club level which is the more expensive CL. I believe that for the Tower Club level your room view is not bookable, and is assigned on a by-request basis.

I have never stayed on the Tower Club level, but I have stayed on the Atrium Club (12th floor level) in August. It was not my favorite CL. I wasn't pleased with the elevators and the way they run the lounge and concierge desk. But I won't get into that. CR Resort Fan loves it and I'm sure you and Gramma will, too!

Here is a link to the CL thread where CR Resort Fan and I have posted Atrium Club photos and there is lots of CR/CL info:

I looked at my reservation and it looks like I'm booked at Atrium Club Level. The lady on the phone just said club level so I didn't know that I was booking Atrium Club Level. Now I do. lol This will be my first time staying at a "luxurious" hotel so I think it will be a neat experience for me. Especially since this may be the only time I will be able to go deluxe, but I think I'm determined to go to CR in the future if I save a lot and get a decent pin like 30 or 40% off.

 Congratulations! I knew you'd get it! :dance3: I'm soooo excited for you! :goodvibes

Thanks! I thank you so much for your and everyone else's pixie dust. It has helped! :goodvibes

kaffinito I haven't been on since Thursday (working to support my disney habit) and now no POLY? I never did CSR I hope its awesome, but then again its Disney!!!!! The kids (and the big kid AKA DH) are trying to get me to cancel GF this trip and do all BWI-they even talked DD into it. AND they want a CR suite instead of the Princess Suite, killing me!!! I have not made ANY changes...but then again I have been at work.

stepdisneyWhere are you staying? Or did I miss it?

CRFanI can't help myself but obsess over the disney special offers page, Good for you!

WDWKookYou are still BC Deluxe right?Sorry, I am playing catch up with my 2 and 3 year old climbing on my lap:lmao:

Lillian Gracey Keep trying! Fingers crossed.

disneydreamin247How is Princess Lily? You are still Poly/GF? Just checkin....

OK off to research the CR suites:confused3

Yes we are! In fact I'm calling CRO tonight to edit my ressies and make it an official split stay!

Oh how exciting! I am SO happy for you! I know how exciting it is to finally get the ressie you want. It just sends you over the moon. I'm sure you and your grandma will have an awesome trip and you will just love it.

:rotfl::rotfl:Too funny. I was booked at BLT this summer. I really want to "Princess" it up and have CL. So I was thinking Suite....But then again the $$$$ I would save I could do Deluxe Dining...hmmmmmmm. Hopefully Stepdisney is booked at CR and I can wait to hear her report...There is 7 of us (DS turns 3 in October) so thats why GF suites are out. Way too much dinero. I just wanna stay on the monorail loop and have a TPV (Arms folded and stomping my feet) once! So I totally get what you're saying about the Epcot resorts. I am thinking of cancelling GF and doing BWI the whole Disney stay to save the Monorail resort for next trip. May 2012 is awhile away, so I am NOT cancelling my Princess Suite at the Poly just yet, DH pointed out for the one night deposit we could stay at Pop for a week in 2 rooms, little does he know we ARE going to Pop for a few days at the beginning of our vacation:laughing:BTW I have a 4 year old home too (DS 10 and DD 6 at school). Thanks SOOOOO much for the links, tribute to kaffinito-

Resort of the day- CR

You had me with your other post at: "I am playing catch up with my 2 and 3 year old climbing on my lap." You didn't need to add the 4, 6 and 10 year-olds to impress me:laughing:. But, really - WOW! You really do need to do CL and a spa treatment or two and the kids' club::yes::

It is definitely sending me over the moon. I immediately said something on facebook and woke my boyfriend up and talked his ear off about how excited I am. He's very happy for me. And I'm glad you and everyone else are too. It makes me so happy that I have people who support me and don't get annoyed with me saying, "I'm gonna call today. Wish me luck!" and "No rooms!" every day. :rotfl: You guys are great. I am very blessed to be around such nice people.

That's because there's no DIS bullies on this thread. ;) Now, if you were to post that on some other threads you may get a different response, but we're a loving bunch here! :grouphug:

 I'm glad there aren't. It makes me so happy. I stray away from the theme park board because of how angry people get there. My boyfriend told me that I was more happy when I wasn't on the disboards because I wouldn't be complaining about other people. He says that people on that board are on there to kill people and to kill those who don't like Disney. He is such a dork. :rotfl:

Though not everyone is like that. I just happen to encounter those who are.

Have you checked out the Budget Board or Transportation?! It gets feisty on those 2! :rotfl:

I have not, but I know the bus vs. car discussions get pretty heated on the theme park board. :rotfl:

Now I just need to plan my days. Just get a rough idea of what parks I want to visit on what days and what rides are most important to me. I also need to take a look at what restaurants I would like to eat at so my gramma and I aren't wasting time trying to figure out which restaurants to eat at when we get there.

I wish I had a map in front of me right now. It would make my life a lot easier.

Lillian Gracey Like disneydreamin247 said, this is a very kind thread. The GF thread is pretty nice too. I am just starting to look at CR and Poly threads daily. I've been on the Universal Hotel thread and it's definitely not the same feel....

So the plans now are: August St. Pete Beach/Portofino @ US/IoA/BWI (but I still have GF booked just in case)And I am NOT changing my ticker again:lmao:

May 2012-Split stay @ Pop/Ready....Poly Princess Suite vs. 2 connecting TPV Atrium Club Level at CR vs. 2 connecting GF RPC vs 2 bedroom suite Outer Building GF. I have over a year to obsess:love:

Maps? I love maps! Which ones do you need?

I like to know what the EMH days are so that I can avoid that park on that day. The Extra Magic Hours parks are always more crowded. The WDW site lists all the parks' hours. That's what I look at first to determine where to make our ADR.

Don't forget that because you're staying club level, the CR's itinerary planning office (they share with the GF) will make all your ADRs for you. Have you received your email yet from the CR IPO? If not, you can initiate contact by emailing them any reservations you need - restaurants, recreation, tours, etc... Make sure to include your reservation number. Here is their email address:

My DH would love all the video games and snacks at the kids' club, but he wouldn't like sharing and I don't think they'd have any beer for him:confused3

I'm going to put in a plug for the CR thread and add that we're all very civilized and helpful over there, which probably translates into, we're boring! But I think we have a 99% satisfaction rate:thumbsup2

No need to plug the thread. Already checkin it out. You could NEVER be boring, I don't see it :goodvibes I am starting to think I will NEVER pick a resort for next May. I was thinking of cancelling GF for August, because MAYBE we will go next year. I could save a bunch staying at BWI, because I only need 1 Deluxe room.....Next year I could do a split stay CR/GF. What about the Poly???????:headache:Why am I worried about a trip over 13 months away when I can't pick my trip that's 4 months away? :confused3

Back to the CR, Poly, GF, and BWI thread before the bus comes:rotfl:

My resort tweaking had started to really get out of hand, on top of my originals tweaks (many posts ago lol) I then went with the Poly, then AKL, then Poly, then Swan, then considered Portofino Bay. I think I've now got to where I feel comfortable :goodvibes, first part of the stay at the Beach Club (free dining offer through Disney UK), then my last couple of nights at the Swan (always wanted to try there). I'm just no longer prepared to pay full Disney prices any more for club level, if a GP discount comes out then I'll consider club level again but only if.

Most of the resort FAQs are extremely helpful and kind. It's the other boards that scare me! :rotfl: I've seen so much hostility and harshness on the Budget, Transportation, and Community boards! :scared1:

I totally understand. I was obsessing over our WDW trip which isn't until July and I forgot all about spring break in a few weeks.

If you go to the GF in August then you'll know for sure whether you really want to book it for next year or not, unless you've already stayed there and if that's the case, then never mind:rolleyes1

YES! What about the Poly???!!! Have you stayed there before? What room type would you book there? Do you normally book two rooms?

Oh yeah, the Community Board. I spent a week there one night:eek:

It's interesting the "tone" that some threads can take on. ANYTHING goes on the CB and while it can be very entertaining, it can also get very contentious and usually the whole point of the OP ends up lost.

I've not really looked at the Budget and Trans. boards much. What could they possibly be getting riled up about over there?
