Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I went to my boyfriend's place yesterday and I saw that he got a letter from Disney and it was the free dining pin! I told him we should book a trip using it! LOL

Tomorrow I will be calling about rooms at CR. Tomorrow will be the 50 day mark! It's coming up so fast! <3 <3 <3

Since we made our reservation at the Beach Club I have been able to sleep better, because before it was actually done I was going over so many things in my head like should we stay there before the Boardwalk or after and what type of Club Level room did we want.

Well I'm glad you can sleep :goodvibes It can get stressful when you do add on's or split stays to tweak it just right that's for sure! :)

Good luck with your CR quest - keep us posted if you get it! :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear you feel good about adding the BC on to your BWI stay. I'm still not feeling "right" about the BC. In fact, this morning out of the blue, Mr. WDWKOOK asked me what resort I was considering switching to today:laughing:. He knows I'm apprehensive about not staying at a MK resort. I've even been considering Poly/LV even though we left for the CR after only 3 nights the last time we stayed there. Our first stay was great there, but I have bad memories of our last stay. And, I thought I'd never consider the GF, but I've even been contemplating the RPC.

It would be a lot easier if the CR was available. Lilian Gracey understands:hug:.

Busy day for me my fellow Switcheroos! :cool1:

I called today and still no availability for my dates at either RPC or SL in August with the discount. I'm just going to keep trying.

And I was told that they are having "trouble with the system" right now. Not telling how long that will last. :rolleyes1

I also cancelled my other ressies and booked a water view king room at CSR for my last three days. It goes against my rule of trying one new resort and doing one favorite resort for a split stay, but what the heck - at least I can try two new resorts out - and if I don't have a fab time at either of them at least I'm at Disney! :goodvibes

The bummer of it was that I had to cancel that cabana at the Poly. :sad1: But - I did book two premium chairs with umbrella at Typhoon Lagoon, so at least I get to try that out too - and I saved 60 bucks! :rotfl:

So no more switching unless AP rates or a discount comes out for my April trip dates. Then look out!

How is everyone else doing? :)

Well, you have been busy. I think you made the right move considering you were paying rack for the Poly:scared1:. And, I think your premium TL chairs will be great and you saved $60:thumbsup2.

I like your attitude that you're still at WDW and that's what's most important. I think you're going to have a great time.

I called to find out where I am staying.....I hung up before they answered the phone.....:scared1: I am so embarrassed....I think that I will have to look it up on line. I wish that I could say that this has never happened to me but....alas...it has. I couldn't remember if I was booked at OKW or SSR a few years back....and ended up at Kidani..... I'm starting to feel the same way this year. It's the 9th graders....blaming it on the 9th graders :teacher:.
:rotfl:

Well, have you found out where you're staying? Have you considered waiting until your arrival day to find out and really surprising yourself:confused3

I have made a decision that I am not going to check the special offers page and anymore and at least next Sunday the current room only discount will be ending. I don't want a situation to come up incase the Atrium Club floor at the Contemporary became available, no matter if it's the Magic Kingdom or Bay Lake View.

You're better than I am then. :goodvibes I'm going to be checking compulsively a few times a day right up until the day before I leave just to see if pixiedust: will happen for my trip. :upsidedow

Dangit I'm listening to beautiful music from WL on Sorcerer Radio and it makes me want to stay there! Why can't they play BW music?!

How do you book premium chairs at TL? I wasn't aware there was such a thing.

I do completely understand. I work a short shift today so I will be calling today about rooms. I wasn't able to yesterday because I had work all day and then I bought groceries for my boyfriend and brought them over to his house. He was on the track in Jennings this past Monday and Tuesday so he's physically worn out. I'm such a nice girlfriend. :lovestruc

Though I told him because he was going to Florida without me, I'll be going to Florida without him as pay back even though I've been planning this trip longer than he was planning to go to Jennings. :rotfl:

Still no rooms available. I will still be calling back though. I'm so determined. :rotfl: I'm hoping on the 45 or 46 day mark there will be quite a few cancellations.

Dangit I'm listening to beautiful music from WL on Sorcerer Radio and it makes me want to stay there! Why can't they play BW music?!

:lmao: What happens when they play music from "Night on Bald Mountain?" or music from the "Haunted Mansion"?

How do you book premium chairs at TL? I wasn't aware there was such a thing.

Oh! They have cabanas for 249.00 plus tax too. :teeth: It's easy peasy - call WDW PLAY and request "premium chairs" for either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. With tax they cost 53.00 and you get two nice chaises, an umbrella and a cocktail table in a roped off seating area in front of the wave pool. :)

Still no rooms available. I will still be calling back though. I'm so determined. :rotfl: I'm hoping on the 45 or 46 day mark there will be quite a few cancellations.

There is always hope! Some people cancel before they have to pay and some just forget to pay in time. There are also people who call just before the 45 days to switch resorts too. Keep calling! :goodvibes

Thanks guys! You guys are so understanding and supportive. It means so much to me! :'D I just called and no rooms were available. Gonna try again tomorrow!

Hello,
Would love everyone's opinion.... CBR/Beach Club or
Pop/Beach Club??? Thanks so much!

Oh that's a tough one! I'd pick CBR/BC if the budget allows it. I just love CBR so much, although we do love Pop as well. CBR just has such a lush and tropical environment. It's so calm and laid back (even with my wild child on the loose!:rotfl:)

kaffinito I haven't been on since Thursday (working to support my disney habit) and now no POLY? I never did CSR I hope its awesome, but then again its Disney!!!!! The kids (and the big kid AKA DH) are trying to get me to cancel GF this trip and do all BWI-they even talked DD into it. AND they want a CR suite instead of the Princess Suite, killing me!!! I have not made ANY changes...but then again I have been at work.

stepdisneyWhere are you staying? Or did I miss it?

CRFanI can't help myself but obsess over the disney special offers page, Good for you!

WDWKookYou are still BC Deluxe right?Sorry, I am playing catch up with my 2 and 3 year old climbing on my lap:lmao:

Lillian Gracey Keep trying! Fingers crossed.

disneydreamin247How is Princess Lily? You are still Poly/GF? Just checkin....

OK off to research the CR suites:confused3

I do hereby nominate pas130 to be the official keeper of resort bookings for the RC thread! Impressive!

Yes, we're still booked at the BC/Deluxe for the last 8 nights. Like poor Lillian Gracey, our dates aren't available at the CR. This could be a sign that we need to broaden our horizons and venture out to the great unknown Epcot resort area. Maybe we're stuck in a CR rut:confused3.

We haven't heard back from Stepdisney on where she thinks she's staying. I'd feel more confident if you'd just tell us where you think she's staying:laughing:.

A two AND a three-year-old?:worship: Impressive once again:thumbsup2.

As a resort changer enabler (and CR aficionado;)), I feel it my duty to provide some links to CR suite info. and ask if you've considered BLT, too? You wouldn't have CL access, but you would have a huge suite.

CR Suites:
The Contemporary has suites in both the Tower and the Garden Wing sections of the resorts. The Garden Wing offers one-bedroom* and hospitality suites. The Tower offers one- and two-bedroom suites as well as the VP and Presidential suites. As is customary at Disney resorts, better view and more room equals more money! Most suites sleep 6; 2-bedroom suites can sleep 8, 9, or 10 depending on the room (see room types above for specific numbers).

*Actually, there aren't any one bedroom suites in the GW, they are Deluxe suites with a king bed and a pull-out sofa and daybed with no privacy separation in the room.

Welcome back, pas130:goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl:Too funny. I was booked at BLT this summer. I really want to "Princess" it up and have CL. So I was thinking Suite....But then again the $$$$ I would save I could do Deluxe Dining...hmmmmmmm. Hopefully Stepdisney is booked at CR and I can wait to hear her report...There is 7 of us (DS turns 3 in October) so thats why GF suites are out. Way too much dinero. I just wanna stay on the monorail loop and have a TPV (Arms folded and stomping my feet) once! So I totally get what you're saying about the Epcot resorts. I am thinking of cancelling GF and doing BWI the whole Disney stay to save the Monorail resort for next trip. May 2012 is awhile away, so I am NOT cancelling my Princess Suite at the Poly just yet, DH pointed out for the one night deposit we could stay at Pop for a week in 2 rooms, little does he know we ARE going to Pop for a few days at the beginning of our vacation:laughing:BTW I have a 4 year old home too (DS 10 and DD 6 at school). Thanks SOOOOO much for the links, tribute to kaffinito-

Resort of the day- CR
