That's really interesting. I thought the whole reason for using Coronado was to keep all of the NBA folks in one location together to help prevent issues with Covid. But if they’re spread out amongst three different resorts, especially ones separated so far apart from each other, how does this help keep them in the “bubble”?
We were at GF (before parks open) and we were offered VGF or Poly, and the change would be at our expense if we wanted to move to dates to after the parks reopen. We took Poly because the room has a better view than the room they offered at VGF. We also like the quick-serve at Poly better than the one at GF, so if we're unable to visit other resorts without a table reservation, I prefer to be locked in to the quick-serve at Poly than GF.
Any idea how this will work for VGF guests? I’m not one, just curious how it would work! Won’t all the food options/amenities at main GF be off limits to preserve NBA bubble?

It’s more reasonable in my opinion that the main building (or at least its first two floors) would be off limits to the NBA. Who knows what they will do though!
NBA players are threatening not to play so we'll see if it still happens....they are also letting players bring guests which could have something to do with the extra resort need.

Somebody in one of my facebook groups called Disney today regarding their July 9 reservation at CBR and was told they didnt need to be moved because CBR will be open.
Something tells me NBA isnt paying much....disney/espn owns a huge tv deal that pays the nba for its games so espn wants the nba playing again more than anyone.
Since it was announce the Beach Pool Bar & Grill will be open for VGF guests, I'm assuming the Beaches pool will be open for them as well. I would assume, given that, the NBA will use the Courtyard Pool.
Or who booked for a year, got cancelled, booked again and then got bumped. Not for safety, not for low attendance, but because they could pull bigger bucks with the NBA. I’m so glad we opted out in the end. It all leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

The NBPA never agreed to the deal, they only agreed to further negotiations. If Disney shut resorts down, modified opening dates or otherwise inconvenienced guests over a deal that doesn't yet have ink to paper, that's on Disney. Players have until June 24 to give notice as to whether they are playing or not. The teams also have the ability to sign other players to open roster spots. This will probably go forward even if some players decide to sit out. Plenty of other players - free agents, G-League players - would probably be happy to have the opportunity to play and sign contracts for open roster spots.
