A while ago I was able to get an MP3 of Wilderness Lodge background music, and would like to get other resorts music. Does anyone know where I can download these MP3s? I forgot where I got what I have!:confused3

I don't, but I'd love the Poly music. They sell polynesian CDs at the Poly, but they aren't the ones played in the hotel. I asked a CM at the BouTiki if they were and she really nicely told me they weren't. She followed that up with "If I had a nickel for every time I was asked that question!" :)

She said the CDs were good, but No, you can't hear them first.

I think if WDW wants to sell the music, they ought to play it somewhere, like in the gift shop, even!

Maybe I'm crazy (and I keep trying to drag my Dad down there to find out :rotfl: ), but I swear I've heard parts of the music played in Wilderness Lodge in cowboy movies. If they're still playing it, lol. Someone posted that they weren't. ???

(Long post.)

I've heard some on DIS radio and some on Live365. On DIS radio, once you hear a song you like, you just click the "buy" button and it will direct you to a place where you can either purchase the CD or d/l the song.

Not a resort CD, but my favorite CD I bought was the Animal Kingdom CD. The music you hear while walking through the park. I bought it at the POLY.

Actually, the last time I was at Boutiki they were playing a Disney CD. My son's 3rd Grade class was singing "It's A Smal World" in their "Seasonal Concert" (aka Christmas Concert outside the politically correct realm of our public school system.) As I shopped I heard a rap version (Disney-fied, of course) of IASW. I asked the CM if I could buy the CD and he showed me where it was on display right there in Boutiki!

"Make that volcano blow bikini?" I'm hopin' to see some of those next week...LOL:cool1:

I posted a thread about a week ago about some African artists who might as well be (and very well could be) the AKL/AK music. It was on the Community Board. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll dig out the CD's and repost.

As far as the WL music, it's a combination of First Nations and Native American as well as American Folk. A few artists to check out are Six Organs of Admittance, Vetiver, Bing Futch, Willie French Lowery, and Lawrence Laughing. I've heard at least two of them played at the WL.

Hope that helps.

Anne,

I assume you're talking about the new rotation they are using at WL. (For those that missed it, a couple of months ago they dumped the old loop that was filled with the works of people like Copeland and Horner, etc.). The new stuff is OK, but I really miss walking in and hearing things like Appalachian Spring, Rodeo, and Field of Dreams.

The last time I was there I heard a couple of the ones I mentioned (I highly doubt if all of them are used, I was giving ideas of similar music, KWIM?) although I'm pretty sure I've heard one of them on the old loop as well.
