Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

I am terrified of staying at BCV this year and wanting to buy it 🤣🤣
Same. I'm only staying one night post cruise, but I have to keep sitting on my hands to prevent me from buying. 🤣 I think if I lived on the east coast or basically anywhere east of New Mexico, I would instantly cave and buy. For now, I lose an entire day for travel when I go to Florida and I don't know that I'll be able to get there enough to buy another FL contract. It just looks so peaceful in the DVC wing and so close to the action of pool area. It seems to have both excitement and quietness.

I Just love the idea of that pool in the summer ☀️ we enjoy the resorts more then the theme parks.

Donald is a family favorite and the rooms have that theme.

Minnie is my favorite and the beach bash looks so cute. As foodies, proximity to epcot and yacht club for more refined dining looks great. The fact that it's so hard to get into makes buying there appealing as well for some, but for me i still see a lot of availability to not justify the price for that.

I am still in the mindset that I don't want to pay that much for a short contract however and even if I like it I'm def not buying another contract yet. 🤣🤣

I guess our flexibility and preference for 1 bedrooms also makes it not really necessary for us. I see a lot of availability in the summer months and I def feel like we're going to aim for that resort and vgf and pit at 7 months at different times of years for many years to come with our SSR contract.

I am curious as to whether I will like BWV. We're going to try to try it out next year. The theme really doesn't appeal to us, but you never know!

Well here I am again. I said I would not be here, but I knew better. Im sure you all did too! I have known for a while I need more points at WDW since a bulk of my points are on the west coast.
what is your ideal WDW points total? will selling a 100 pt contract for a 150-175 pt contract be enough? not to be a bad influence, but have you considered holding CCV? I think there is a nonzero chance that once more details about the refurb are announced that prices could go up ...macroeconomic factors aside. if they really knock it out of the park with theming, plus the upgrade to murphy beds I could see prices rising. knowing your propensity to deal hunt, assume you got a good deal on your CCV. all that to say, maybe you could aim for a deal at BWV on a 150 pt contract and then decide about CCV after the refurb details/your August stay.

My ideal for just wdw is probably 200. I would for sure hold my CCV at least until a new contract was all loaded up. I agree the refurb could make ccv go up so it's worth holding at least until then.

There is also value in holding a MK resort and a EPCOT/HS resort if you are trying to avoid ever getting on a bus.

We find that the boats are our favorite method of travel.

This is always my dilemma. We own MK and EPCOT/DHS resorts for the proximity reason, but I also don't like to pack up and move midway through a weeklong stay. Always a tension when booking, lol

Our favorite travel method is Skyliner and wish it would expand.

Yeah my husband really dislikes packing up, I say Im neutral on it, but packing takes us awhile and he does a lot of it so I see why he dislikes it so much. We jam it all in space bags so he has to seal them all up etc.

Totally fair. This is why we book an extra “overlap day” to make the pickup and move process more low key.
Lol nice! I've thought about doing this as well for Epcot/MK resorts! Does the system let you be guests in two rooms at once or do you have to use slightly different names on the reservations? And then are you still able to link them both to your app?

You need to have a CM unlink the second resort from your MDE upon arrival at your first resort so that it doesn’t throw off your MB. I also highly recommend getting a physical key at the second resort at check in just in case there is a MB snafu at first.
