Renting points weekdays - Renting from Disney weekends

We are planning on staying in a 1 bedroom villa at WL on a 9 night trip in Nov. Our dates (not flexible) include two fridays and saturdays each. Since the points required for weekend nights are so high and 4 out of 9 nights are weekend nights, I won't save money by renting points. Has anyone (not a DVC owner, they probably have more leeway) ever booked the weekends direct through Disney and rented points for the weekdays? Is changing rooms a possibility? Is there housekeeping service daily if you rent from disney?

As a DVC member, I'll try to help out. Yes, you can do this but I would say that you'll probably have to move twice. The only way not to move would be to tell the person you're renting from the confirmation numbers for you two weekend stays and have MS at DVC note this on your reservation. This way, the RA at VWL will see that you have continuing reservations and try to block off the same room for you for your entire stay. You'll have to check out and check in for each stay, but possibly not have to move. I'd go in thinking you'll have to pack up at the end of each reservation, and if it works that you don't GREAT. You will get daily housekeeping on the days you are paying cash, but not on the days you're renting DVC points. You can pay extra for housekeeping though, it's $30 or $35 per day for a one bedroom, I can't remember the exact price.
