Renting points - How to make ADR's?

After reading the thread about the MS changes (which BTW I have no problem with), I am wondering what the best way is to make ADR arrangements as someone renting points from a DVC member. Is it possible for me to call the regular Disney Dining number to make my ADR's or do my ADR's have to go through member services, which means the member would have to make all the arrangements. I guess I don't want to bother the member if I don't have to.

I use 800.828.0228 and press 3 for dining.
