Rental Question

I have a 5 night rental. One renter wants the first 2 nights, and another renter wants the remaining 3 nights. Is this possible? How does it work as far as clean sheets/room for the 2nd renter? Can Member Services make it 2 separate reservations? Thanks.

I would call and check and would only do it if you can have them separate- you could run into tons of problems if you try to keep it as 1 and have them switch things back and forth between them.

If you keep it as 1 reservation- there will be no clean sheets for the second people- they will have to find out from the first ones where there room is- credit card charges could be problematic- I guess you would have to add all of the people from both groups onto the room for the whole time.

If MS won't split the reservation into 2 separate reservations, I wouldn't do it.

FYI, MS can't hold inventory so you run the risk of someone getting some of your days.

I asked for MS to split a reservation and they were unable to. If you cancel the last 3, they may go straight to a waitlist, and you may not have a chance to rebook. That is what happened when I tried to split one. I would NEVER even consider trying to do this as 1 res. So many pitfalls. 2nd renter couldn't add it to MDE, make FP, etc.

I vehemently agree with the other posters. Ain't no WAY it could be done to have 2 entirely different parties occupy 2 different halves of the same rez. Made my skin crawl in more ways than one just thinking about it!

It certainly is true that if you lop off part of your rez it could go to a W/L, but if your dates are a ways out, or if there is still inventory available for one potential set of dates, you possibly could make it work. Have you checked availability? If it's sold out, I go back to my first statement above. Good work coming here to ask rather than just seeing if your scenario would be okay!
