Remembering "Live From the 8/19/06 Magic"

Got back on the ship a little while ago, but had to get back off as the post office was closed when I stopped by to mail my postcards. The post office wasn't open when we got off the ship, I found out their boat broke down on the way to CC this morning, so the post office opened late. I stopped at the post office on our way back to the ship around 1pm, only to see a sign on the door, "Closed for Lunch, will return at 1:30."

It was just Hazel and I that got off the ship this morning, as my mom and Angelina had a late night and decided they would stay onboard and sleep.

We did get some "Twice the Magic" t-shirts, and a couple of "Twice the Magic" baseball caps. We also saw the "Twice the Magic" bags and mugs, but didn't purchase any of them.

Hazel is up in the laundry room drying our wet clothes, my mom is on the verandah reading, and Angelina was getting a shower when I left to head to the post office.

It was very sunny and hot on CC today, that's why Hazel and I headed back to the ship around 1pm. The family beach didn't seem as crowded today as it did on Sunday, so I guess more people must have stayed on the boat today as well.

The sad day has come, it's time to start packing up our belongings so we can put them outside our cabin door tonight. The good part is, we don't fly home until this coming Tuesday afternoon.

I'll probably add my blog report with latest photos from my mom's place sometime on Saturday. We have plans to meet some DISfriends for dinner Saturday evening.

Looking forward to attending the "Remember the Magic" show at 6:15 this evening, then meeting up for our last dinner with our cruising mates in Animator's Palate this evening.

It's been a BLAST :thumbsup2 , but all good things must come to an end. :guilty:

For those sailing away tomorrow evening, I wish you a MAGICal time!!! :goodvibes

And Thank You Andy for sharing your trip with us.

:thumbsup2

Isn't it amazing how fast the week goes by? Only 2 weeks out and it was like our cruise was over in the blink of an eye. It doesn't even seem like we were gone 7 days. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

I'm so sad to see your trip coming to an end! I loved living vicariously through you guys!!!

I have good advice for you for tomorrow morning...HIDE! They'll never know you didn't leave! :rotfl:

O.K. just kidding! Thanks for taking time out of your vacation to post your live thread. It was great reading about your days! You have convinced me to go to PALO Brunch! Not like I need a lot of convincing :rotfl: 20 more days for us and we'll be on our Double Dip.

Andy and Family: Enjoy your last evening on the cruise :sad2: and have a safe trip home.

Andy thanks for the trip reports. They've been the sunshine in our rainy day today in Port Canaveral.

Have a safe trip everyone.

Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes everyone!!!

Darlene--if you could do me a favor--I left my "Twice the Magic" baseball cap in Animator's Palate this morning at table 9 as we were leaving the ship. If you know anyone in lost and found, could you see if my baseball cap was turned in. Our server was Prageeth on the APL rotation. I was so concerned that I got all the carry-on bags, I forgot to pick my cap up.

Thanks so much!!!

We are here at my mom's until Tuesday morning, and boy it is raining here like cats and dogs!!!

I also just made my blog reports for Friday and Saturday a few minutes ago in "My Disney Cruise Blog."

Making a phone call for you now Andy. Glad you got to your Mom's safe and sound. It's pouring here and storming as well. Got your card this morning and it made my day, thanks that was so sweet of you guys!

Andy and family, Welcome home from your home-away-from-home! I loved every minute of your posts and blog and loved the posts from the other DISers also. :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing your trip with all of us. :sunny:

Now on to planning for 2008!

Andy, I'm so sad your cruise is over. :( I've enjoyed your live posts and blog so much. Enjoy the rest of your vacation and have a safe trip home.

Andy, Here is some pixiedust: hope you get your hat back.

Andy, thanks for your posts and your blog! Your style of reporting is so warm and friendly; I can't help but feel that I'm there with you and your family (except that I don't have to worry about all the calories associated with the food shown in your awesome food pics).

Thanks to everyone else who took the time out of their cruise to post live for us!

Hey Verandah Man, love reading your blog. We were just on the ship 2 weeks ago. I saw a pic of our server Martha in your blog. The girl w/ the BIG smile at Castaway Cay. If you see her again, tell her Rob, Tara And Ava say hello.

As far as Slash from Guns N Roses, you CAN'T miss him. If you get a chance, could you take a pic and post it. Not a huge fan, but it just would be cool to see. He has BIG curly black hair and tattoos. I'll post this pic of him so you can be on the look out.

my wife asked him. he declined.

Lampy--I spoke with Pikey before we left the ship today, he said that he will be on the Wonder come November, so I guess you will miss him on your next sailing.

We spent about an hour on Costa Maya, Hazel and I each got a t-shirt and one magnet for our frig at home, Angelina got a pair of sunglasses, and my mom bought a few t-shirts for some of her friends. Oh, we also got a little gift for my co-worker that is taking care of our cat while we are away.

Angelina wants to see the movie "The Wild" at 4pm, so we will be missing the Castaway Club Reception at 5pm today. It was announced early in the week that there were about 1300 Castaway Club members on this cruise.

Hazel and I just finished lunch at Topsiders, we are one hour behind the eastern time zone, we had to turn our clocks back one hour Sunday night before going to bed.

I guess that's the latest for now, I will be adding a few more pics to my blog report tomorrow morning. :wave2:

Pikey is gonna be on the Disney Wonder in November, does anyone think he will be there is march? I'm going for my 19th birthday in march and that would be sweet to see him.

Yes, Pikey and three others will be switching to the Wonder in November. But I believe he said he will be returning to the Magic for the Med cruises.

At some point he will be taking time off for vacation. So hopefully he'll be on the Wonder in March and then take a break shortly thereafter and be back in May.

That's just my guess.
