moving booking at 7 months window for 8 nights?

Hi,

First time messing around with swapping at 7 months (or at least hoping to!). I currently have 2 rooms booked at my home resort VGF for 9 nights, August 6th - August 15th. What i actually want is 3 rooms for 8 or 9 nights (depending on points in available resorts) at a different resort (im open to whatever is available).

How is best to approach this at the 7 month window? Ive never modified a booking before, but if i modify my 2 bookings can i change them into 8 nights and move resort and then just create a fresh booking for the 3rd room i want? Can i only book 7 nights when the 7 month window opens, so if i try to modify to another resort it will auto swap it to 7 nights etc? Do i then just logon the next day and then amend the booking again to add on the 8th day to each booking?

It’s still the 7 nights. However you take the risk of getting stepped over by a home resort owner before can add each night.

If already have a 9 booked, best to wait the extra two days (or one day if changing it to an 8) so can modify all at once. That’s how I would do it.

As mentioned, the easiest way to do it is to wait one extra day and modify so you can do all 8 nights.

If you do right at 7 months, you need to book 7 nights and then add the extra nights

The only reason I might do that is because you want to go from two rooms to three. And I assume you want to be at the same resort.

If you get at least all three for 7 nights, then you can go back and get that 8th night the next day and if for some reason, you can’t you can at least waitlist for two of the rooms and stalk for the third.
