Last time I went to the French Market at Disneyland they didn't have the fried chicken, I was so sad! We always looked forward to it every trip to disneyland.

As a kid I loved toaster pizzas. I have no idea what brand it was, but they were round and like a precursor to Hot Pockets. You stuck them in the toaster (twice for done, once if you couldn't wait but it was still 1/2 frozen).
I'm sure I would think of them as pretty ick now, but loved them then.

I also loved Ellio's square pizza was able to find it up until about 2 years ago, but it still wasn't the same as I remembered. My kids didn't know any better though....

I'm sure nobody else has even heard of this, but I loved Junket. You bought a package of little tablets, dissolved them in milk by heating it, added a little nutmeg and cinnamon and then chilled it. It made a really good pudding and my mom made it all the time.

I just remembered the Carnation instant breakfast bars. I hate the powdered gunk,but OMG I loved those bars growing up. Mom couldn't keep us stocked up on those things for long. Everyone in our family loved them.

JellO Pudding Pops!!!!

I bought some jello pudding pops a year or two ago- I was so excited!! They were disgusting.... not sure if they changed the recipe or my taste buds matured...

Space Sticks -- They were a strange food, and what were they supposed to be anyway? A breakfast item? Snack? Maybe the astronauts knew.

Oh, and for those that miss the old Marathon bars - if you can find Cadbury's Curly Wurly bars they are the same thing!

Ben & Jerry's Chocolate PB Cookie Dough Ice Cream

I now eat Half-Baked.

I will admit to sometimes eating an entire pint of both the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough flavor and the Half Baked flavor. Once I start, a switch flips in my head and I lose the ability to stop.

The food I remember was this strange powdered soup in a packet. It was cream of chicken soup (lipton?) in an individual serve packet. There were tiny hard croutons right in the powder and they sort of floated to the top when you mixed it with hot water. Sounds gross, but I loved that stuff.

I know exactly what you are talking about. That was my favorite soup when I was younger. It was Lipton. I used to lick my finger and stick it right into the packet to extract some delicious artificial flavoring in its natural pre-dissolved form.

*those little individually wrapped chocolates called "Ice Cubes" (they still make them, but the recipe has changed, I'm sure of it)

*These little frozen pizzas my grandma used to buy. They were the size of bagel bites, but the crust was like regular (thinner) pizza crust. So good!

*Charms suckers (not blow pops)

Hey, 50 isn't THAT old!!!! If you remember space food sticks, do you also remember shake a pudding? My mom would never buy either of them, so it was something I couldn't wait to buy for my family when I grew up. Problem was they no longer made them when I grew up!

I use to LOVE Fresca but I thought, as you mentioned, it may still be around.

It's still around! I serve it on my flights every day!!!

I have to add my favorite extinct beverage - Kool Aid's Great Bluedini. That was the sugary sweetest drink ever!!!

Does anyone else remember Coco Wheats? It was like chocolate cream of wheat. I would POUR the sugar on that stuff. Yummy!

I remember the Coco Wheats from the 80's. They still make them today, but they don't taste NEARLY as chocolaty as they did back then.

Tab was a staple in my fridge growing up. My mother was addicted to it until Diet Coke came out

My mom loved Tab as well, until they stopped using Nutrasweet and used a different sweetner (aspartame I think).

I don't know if it's around any more, but I remember drinking Mellow Yellow when I kid.

OMG, I just found the commercial for those on youtube. That is exactly what they reminded me of. Those were so yummy. For the life of me, I couldn't remember what they were called, only that Pillsbury made them.

Fizzie drink tablets - actually they are back at a very high price

Candy lipstick, the kind that you would lick and smear on your lips, then eat ..it came in a tube

Cinnamon toothpicks-we would chew them into bits-5 cents a pack

Penny candy-the candy is still around, but not at a penny!

Giant Sweetarts. You could scrape them all day long with your teeth and they would still be huge-eventually you would get sores in your mouth from all the citric acid.


I also remember space bars, Ice Cubes, Jellow 1-2-3, toaster pizzas, and many more of the already mentioned.

For those in Michigan-Towne Club pop. You would go to the Towne Club store and fill a plastic crate with 24 bottles of pop-some weird flavors, for about $2.00. Most of it was awful, but a lot of fun to pick out the flavors.

Rock-n-Rye pop. Maybe they still make it?
