We Lost Someone We Never Met 4 Years Ago Last Night.

East of Midnight on 6-30-2000 , Mousefan posted the news

that Tink would no longer be able to post on the DIS.

Tink's posts were kind, caring and funny and we feel

unworthy but honored to return one of her best posts

to the DIS. It is from the Legendary DIS Thread

This should be thought of as a celebration of

Steph, that is the spirit in which it is offered.

We feel this post conveys her essence, sense of humor ,

love of Disney and Love of Family. Anyway it is

the way she will always be remembered in our hearts.

This post is hilarious. I've got three weird things that I've thought of since I began reading this post.

The first, I was getting my picture made with Goofy and Mickey over at MGM. While my hubby was getting ready to snap the pic, the CM announced I was the last picture to be taken. All of the 30 people in line behind me groaned and then proceeded to take my picture. All I could think is somewhere all over the world, I am in lots of different photo albums

Oct 98 we stayed at the GF, as we were unloading our luggage this brand new Mercedes pulls up next to us. The CM comes over with the cart and starts taking Wal-Mart bags out of this guys trunk. I guess that was their luggage, they had nothing but about 50 WM bags. I guess they spent to much on their car.

When I was with my family in 97 I wanted to ride the Dumbo ride but I didn't want to ride by myself so I convinced my dad to ride with me. Picture a 50 yr old dad and his 25 yr old daughter in a Dumbo car, while everyone else on the ride was kids. You know how you can make Dumbo rise up and drop back down, Well for some reason our Dumbo didn't like to ride too high. We'd push that little lever and you could almost hear Dumbo groan, but when we wanted to come down we dropped faster than ToT. We must have been a sight.

I knew Steph only briefly, reading her posts and few trades we had made.
But her spirit and determination touched my heart.

My prayers and thoughts are with her and her family.

She was a wonderful woman who touched my heart!

Thank you Moof for helping us all to remember Steph. I have been thinking of her a lot this week as I remember we all spoke about her recent passing when we were in WDW last year for July 4th. Steph was a kind soul who touched many of us during her short time with us. God bless!

What funny stories! I hope Stephanie's family has a copy of those stories - especially her dad! I didn't know Stephanie, & I had never heard of her lung disease, but I seemed to have read more about it since she passed away. Small world ...

Thou I never had the pleasure of trading with Stephanie I still had the pleasure of reading her many notes and messages here on the Boards. I know that Stephanie is up there watching over all of her real family and her extended Diz Family. We miss you Step.

I know Steph is up there nw trying to explain "that pin thing" to my mother who just didn't get it.

I never did trade with Stephanie, but she was another late-nighter like me. What a terrible time that was last year. Mousefan (Barbara) - to the best of my memory- hadn't met Tinkerbell2300 before she went into the hospital, but kept us updated on her condition, the good and the bad, right up until the end. She'd print out our posts - get well, keep fighting, whatever - and take them to the hospital for her family to read to her. That alone is something I'll never forget, although I don't see Mousefan around anymore. A whole slew of people pitched in for a brick in her memory - I'm sorry I forget who organized that, or where it is.

I think of her often, and hope her mom will see these tributes and email me, too(kiffy@earthlink.net). I think a special way to show how we felt about her is to contribute to the National Scelederma Assn(forgive mey spelling). If anyone is interested, my ex-husband is on the Board of Directors, and I can get the info for you! We miss you so much Stephanie, maybe we can celebrate your life by helping to find a cure for this disease!
