Wasn't keen on the bloke, all he seemed interested in was making money. I know we all need it but it seemed his overriding obsession. Felt sorry for the women. I too would like to see some ordinary under £100,000 sort of house purchase. Our little terraced house is not far off that figure so even that sort of cash is the bottom end of the market!!!!

In my neck of the woods £625,000 would buy a nice 4 or 5 bedroom house but nothing like the mansion on the TV programme. I'm so glad we moved in the 80s before the massive price rises, we've a 3 bed terrace and thought it would be a stepping stone to something bigger but there's no chance of that now unless we win the lottery. I assume my kids will have to move away if they want to purchase a home in the future.

Gavin & I were very lucky we bought our 2 bed terrace for £31.5k in Dec 04 in Goole and spent £30k renovating meaning we had a £61.5k mortgage. We sold for £85k in Dec 06' which is the only reason we can afford to move to Leeds. We are moving to a 1 bed flat and have no idea wether we will be lucky enough to upgrade to a house in a few years but fingers crossed.

I cant believe this couple have been married for almost 4 years and have never lived together!

They both seem so nice and I am chuffed to bits they got a great house

Yeah, I reckon I might have cried aswell if I walked in and actually had the possibility of been able to afford it

The house prices were very good but I couldnt be swayed to test it with the sealed bid system

It is a nightmare here at the moment. You have to add at least 10% on to the asking price and even then it is not guaranteed. New builds are very popular up here as they are fixed prices. Mind you we do have people camping outside sales offices to make sure they get the house they want
