That's the planI went and found the contract before I made my initial comment on your offer. Your offer was very fair and if the seller comes crawling back you should offer a lower number.

That was me! I honestly didn't think $107 would be accepted but it was a contract that was nearly a year old and my hope was they hadn't had much traction during that time. They accepted within hours of the offer. Partly lucky I think, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.Looking current and prior ROFR threads, it looks like the majority of contracts for BLT are in the $115-$130 PP range, with a few higher and lower. The lowest I saw was $107 PP on a 160 pt contract that had only 6 points left for 2024, and then was full for 2025 and 2026. As long as you’re somewhere in that neighborhood I wouldn’t consider it too low, but I’m pretty new here.
I've been aiming for around the same if not a little lower. Not a lot of inventory lately but I'm noticing the cracks in the walls starting with other contracts as we approach dues time. It'll happen...it'll happen.BLT 160 $139, offered $115, seller countered $135, I countered $120, seller firm no.
I’m still very interested in the contract as it is fully loaded, but I just can’t get myself to pay $135 right now with so much up in the air about the refurb.I've been aiming for around the same if not a little lower. It's not my UY and so I had made an offer lower than yours when it first hit. I really can't take on a third UY but if somehow it worked out that I could get that around 110 I would've gladly taken it. Just being patient. I really do think it's coming. And also glad we don't have the same UY! lolI’m still very interested in the contract as it is fully loaded, but I just can’t get myself to pay $135 right now with so much up in the air about the refurb.
I have a couple other offers floating around right now and I’m in no hurry. There’s a 375 pt SSR for a different use year that I’m interested in as well. I normally don’t like large contracts but apparently I’m just all over the place. It's not my UY and so I had made an offer lower than yours when it first hit. Well… what if you sell the points that expire in 5 months for $10-$12pp and then tell yourself it’s really $125pp with double points for 2025+I’m still very interested in the contract as it is fully loaded, but I just can’t get myself to pay $135 right now with so much up in the air about the refurb.
Yeah…I have seen BLT contracts go for amounts as low as originally offered, but that seems cheap to me for a fully loaded contract. Sometimes if it suits your needs, some compromise is needed. If is doesn’t suit your needs, find a different contract that does.Well… what if you sell the points that expire in 5 months for $10-$12pp and then tell yourself it’s really $125pp with double points for 2025+
It will, just have to be patient and wait for your pitch. It'll happen...it'll happen.
Did it have 2022, 2023, and 2024 points? It will, just have to be patient and wait for your pitch.
FWIW, I paid $125 for 61 BLT pts. (earlier this year)
None. 2025 only. (price tool says $117 now, not sure what it said when i bought it)Did it have 2022, 2023, and 2024 points?
haha yup I'm just fouling them off waiting for the fastball on the fat part of the plate. It will, just have to be patient and wait for your pitch.
Right, so a contract with 2023 expiring and 2024 banked into 2025 would be worth more than a contract that is stripped of the previous years and current years points.None. 2025 only. (price tool says $117 now, not sure what it said when i bought it)
*Actually i just looked it up, i paid $120. (not $125)
Agree.Right, so a contract with 2023 expiring and 2024 banked into 2025 would be worth more than a contract that is stripped of the previous years and current years points.
So, IMO we should tread carefully about counseling people to “wait for a better deal” and quoting only the price per point we paid.
I know that the potential buyers on here can’t give a ton of detail on active contracts they are bidding on, but we can be very specific about contracts that have already been purchased and are no longer on the market.
Yea, i guess when you put both of my statements together it does sounds like not great advice, but truthfully i was just saying that if he wants BLT at $110 he should hold off (or for $110 to be considered to start negotiating), to have a shot at even getting close, because right now $125 is tough.Right, so a contract with 2023 expiring and 2024 banked into 2025 would be worth more than a contract that is stripped of the previous years and current years points.

A fantastic deal!Agree.
Will add my own BLT data point: 160 points for $127.50/pt, with 9 pts from 2022, full 2023/2024/2025 points. Didn’t have to pay membership fees on the 2022 or 2023 points, so that was nice.
Could a better deal be found? Probably. But I didn’t feel it was a bad deal, either.
I know that you already know this… but for the posterity of this thread:Yea, i guess when you put both of my statements together it does sounds like not great advice, but truthfully i was just saying that if he wants BLT at $110 he should hold off (or for $110 to be considered to start negotiating), to have a shot at even getting close, because right now $125 is tough.
On another note... (and separate post) i got mine for $125 earlier this year. (which turns out was actually $120) FWIW. lol
This is highly unprofessional. Regardless of what your offer is a response should be given. It doesn't take more than than 1 minute to respond with a "the seller has declined"haha yup I'm just fouling them off waiting for the fastball on the fat part of the plate.
BTW take it FWIW but the board sponsor is the only one not acknowledging or getting back to my offers. Even the one we all hate putting in low offers with is getting back to me rather cordially for a change. I guess she realizes how much flack shes gotten on these boards and she's changed her tune...a bit.
