I did a search, and couldn't find the answer to my question. Can anyone tell me if there are refrigerators in the rooms at RPR?

I haven't been there, so I can't answer your question. Sorry.

But, in planning our trip for March I saw no reference to them being standard in the rooms.

I would love to know if they're available at an additional cost. Anyone?

Refrigerators, upon request, daily fees may apply
Microwaves, upon request, daily fees may apply
Safety deposit box, in room, free of charge
Safety deposit box, in lobby, free of charge, please see Front Desk for more details
Dry Cleaning/Valet Services available ***Please contact hotel for additional details and fee schedule***

Found this on their website. You could give the hotel a call to get a direct quote.

You'll want to stop at Publix and get a styrophone cooler in the beer isle.

Otherwise, what will be waiting for you in your room, is a locked mini bar with a $6 bottle of water on top. Not much fun if you ask me.

When we stayed in September 04 they wanted $15 per night for the fridge, we declined at that price!

i have two soft sided coolers that i pack in my luggage and take with me. They fold up flat and fit perfectly. I use one for drinks and one for food. Why pay for a frig when you can improvise at no extra cost. I make adding ice to the coolers my boys chore ever morning before we go to the park.

Thanks for theanswers. I don't know why I wanted to know, but I realized later that staying club level, we probably won't even need one.

Thanks for this information! I was also wondering how much a fridge cost daily at Universal. I think I will bring a soft sided cooler so I can fold it up on the way to there and then just take it out of my suitcase when we arrive and hit the nearest Publix.

Thanks!

you are deffinately going to laugh, but if you have the key to the mini bar, you can take all of the stuff out that does not need to be refridgerated and use that. i know how weird i must sound now, but my family has deffinately done that before. lol

I know some people who have also done that, SnowWhite! :)

Could you explain this a little more?

Are their mini bars in all the rooms?

Do you have to ask for the key to it?

We are leaving next Sunday and I am trying to get all the details figured out.

thanks

I stayed at RPR August 2004 and it would have been a $15 charge for a refrigerator when I asked.
They did not offer me a mini bar key when I checked in, got to our room discovered their was a mini bar, and decided to ask for the key.

I had medicine with us that needed to be refrigerated, just a couple of vials. I had just planned on keeping it on ice, but when I discovered the mini bar, I thought it would be good to be safe.

When I went to get the key, the desk clerk was snooty and informed me you were not allowed to 'empty' the fridge and fees may apply. I asked her what made her think I would not want to buy something from the mini bar, and she sighed and gave me the key.

Good to hear from a Hawk!

I stayed at RPR in June 04 and there was a mini ref bar whatever you want to call it.

I was open I mean no lock moved drinks around and made room for my stuff and no one said a word.
