Reducing party size for an existing ADR

I've made ADRs for our Dec trip, and included my in-laws in the party size. If they decide not to join us for one or two meals, is it a problem showing up with 5 people instead of 7? Do I need to call Disney Dining and reduce the party size? There doesn't seem to be a way to do it online other than cancelling and making a new ADR. This will be during free dining, so I'd be hesitant to cancel and rebook, for fear of losing the reservation due to a full restaurant.

Don't worry, my father was supposed to come on our trip, however became ill and had to cancel. When I walked up to each podium, I just corrected the size and they didn't even blink an eye. The only time you need to call and modify is on any restaurants that you put a credit card on: California Grill, Fantasmic Pkg, etc. They will charge you for no shows. I just called dining when we got on property (24 hours ahead of our ressie) and canceled that one person.

Absolutely - do not try to change your ADR's, just leave them as is. Showing up with fewer people is fine. It's when people try to show up with MORE that it becomes a problem.
