I think that Carnival Ape Crazy is my new favorite saying...

Suddenly I'm in the mood for some kool-aid![]()
Umm, talking about a beverage is against board guidelines? Wow. That's news to me.
Try articulating in words what you agree and disagree with so we can have an adult discussion instead of taking this kind of petty shot which serves no purpose but to insult. I've reported your post.
FWIW - My info was from the Bellman at the Swan and having been privy to other first hand reports, I think Kevin's comments were right in-line.
I have to agree with this. Disney wouldn't have coped with the crowds any better.

I get miffed just when the grocery store opens up a new line and says "next person in line, please" and the person behind me just in front of me.![]()

Okay, enough. Clearly saying that I'm drinking the Universal Kool-Aid without making any attempt to justify it is an insult and nobody would take it any other way.Actually, flaming is far more serious than talking about a sugary concoction...
"Flaming (also known as bashing) is hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users...Flamebait is a message posted to a public Internet discussion group, such as a forum, newsgroup or mailing list, with the intent of provoking an angry response (a "flame") or argument over a topic the poster often has no real interest in.[4] While flaming can occur as a result of legitimate debates or grievances, flamebait implies the intentional posting of inflammatory rhetoric or images." --- Wikipedia, 2010.
It's also much different than "trolling" spam...
"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion." --- Wikipedia, 2010.
Being that Shelly neither insulted you nor posted a derogatory/inflammatory remark, neither of these definitions apply to her post. I also don't see her taking any cheap shots. She did not call you any names or anything of the like. I'm confused.
That is your assumption and is not what she meant. I think Jen is correct. I interpreted her comment to mean something totally different. Who wants more cake?Okay, enough. Moderators......seriously?
That cake is AMAZING!!! Where did you get the picture?
I've spent plenty of time on the Universal Boards and I think that comment was dead on. You can't say anything about Universal over there and they jump down your throat. They feel the need to always defend universal even if someone isn't attacking them. I think its some sort of Napoleon syndrome.

And it seems like the opposite on here. What did I even post that is defending Universal? Nothing. We are discussing what happened. The only point was "it's not the unmitigated disaster that maybe the things you've heard might suggest." Nobody is actually reading what I said and responding to that, they're just thinking "UNIVERSAL DEFENDER = WRONG!!!" when all I'm doing is trying to give a balanced indication of what I'm reading based on ALL of the accounts. The entire point is me telling you what is on this board and another prominent Universal board that I've been following for updates. Why is that such a problem for people?
