Rec'd Phone Call from MS re Points/Ressie Mistake!

:scared1:a first for me!

got phone call this am from supervisor @ MS, informing me that there was an internal accounting error on ressie (that i had booked for a guest- September stay) which they 'automatically corrected' via a new ressie/point redistribution.:confused:

instead of using a mix of our 08 points for the Sept ressie (within the 7 month window) they borrowed from that home resort's 09 points:confused3.

Apparently, it popped on their radar when i canceled an existing ressie for my DS/DIL a couple days ago.

Note: i had originally booked WL for DS's Dec trip & rebooked @ AKV @ 7 month window; which resulted in change of the ressie number & the point usage was 2 points less than the original.

At the time, when the CM recapped my account, the total points remaining in my account matched up with my records. Guess i should've been more careful matching up the points in each home resort/UY?

I was told the 'auditors' caught it & fixed the problem; resulting in the phone call to me

naturally, im glad it was fixed, just hope my guest is understanding as to why she has new ressie #:rolleyes1

so, anybody else have this happen in the past/lately?popcorn::
 
I had an issue a couple of years ago. I had enough points in my current year for the reservation but they borrowed instead. To fix it, they cancelled the reservation, moved the borrowed points back and then redid the reservation. Thank goodness I did not lose the reservation in the process (11 month BWV boardwalk view during food & wine).
