They're Jacqueline's family by marriage - granted, three marriages between just two families, but still... she was raised in a different environment that Caroline and Dina, she has her own opinions and experiences, she's certainly entitled to have any friends she chooses and to support those friends if a situation calls for taking sides...

I agree.. I have a feeling that any friend that Jacqueline might choose - that didn't meet the "Manzo" criteria - would not be accepted - ever..

I don't know what Danielle's deal is - she's obviously very insecure under that tough exterior she puts on display - but for the Manzo's to rake her over the coals for something she did (or didn't) do 25 years ago is ridiculous.. Do the Manzo's not realize that they are living in "glass houses"?? Lots of very interesting info floating around out there about them - and not just the Mafia connections.. Theresa & Joe also appear to have some "skeletons" in their closet, but because it appears to be of the same nature as the Manzo's, they are "acceptable" and welcomed into the "circle" with open arms..

Interesting to see the dynamics there..

I know this may not be a popular opinion here but I think Jacqueline was so wrong! She should have just kept quiet. Blood is thicker than water and Danielle is a loon.

She was keeping quiet until Dina dragged her into it and demanded she back up their side, and that's when she sprouted a backbone. She was willing to not contradict their version of the story in order to keep the peace (within the family, anyway), but when asked to step up and lie on national television she decided to draw the line. And then the sisters turned on her, and then she let what's probably years of pent up frustration out.

That blowup had very little to do with Danielle and a LOT to do with a power strugggle for her husband (and he knew it). They see Jacqueline as taking their brother away from their "core" family, and she sees them as trying to keep her husband (and her, by extension) under their thumbs. Note their horror when he chose his wife, to the extent that Caroline dragged their (dead?) parents into it.

Jaqueline's husband seems like the only one of that family (i'm including his sisters Dina and Caroline) that isn't trying to come across all Mafioso. I hate that Dina and Caroline think they can just lie and then stick together to get away with anything they want. I'm glad Jaqueline called them on it, and I respect that Chris butted heads with his sisters, even if it was for someone as deranged as Danielle.

Oh I totally agree that she can have any friends she likes. However if you read the blogs there was a lot more behind the scenes that went on. Danielle wasn't some super close great friend. She was a leech. It's not like they don't want her to have friends, they are just not interested in being friends with Danielle. Sorry but any "friend" who constantly talks bad about my family whether by marriage or not is not a friend. My family doesn't have to love my friends and vice versa, but they can keep their opinions to themselves. Danielle would not stop bad mouthing Dina. She should have just chalked it up to Dina not liking her and not put her "BFF" in that position.
Danielle IMO is a martyr and always tries to make herself out as a victim. She has a warped perception of reality. I would not want that type of person around my family. If my sibling etc. had a friend like that I would ask them why on earth would they want that hot mess around her kids? If that person was spreading lies about me I would wonder why on earth my family still talked to them. I too would be mad. While I feel sad for Danielle because it is very clear that she needs and intervention, I still would not want her around my family. She is completely innapropriate and knows no boundaries. Maybe the family doesn't have boundaries but they are family. Danielle is not. She needs to remember that.

The finale was the highest rated ever on Bravo it was HUGE ratings for them. So that is why they are trying to get everything out of it they can. Money is money ha ha.

Danielle did speak bad of Dina and Dina nor Caroline ever said to Jacquelines face....you can't be her friend, they were civil to Danielle when she had her son CJ's party but Danielle had to go over and hug her and make a big scene. Dina was confused and said I'll be civil but I have no desire to hang out with you.

Just like when Dina had a girls night and Danielle wasn't invited and she was so hurt by it. How old are you, get over yourself and grow up and start being a better mother. I feel bad for them, she tells them wayyyy to much information.

As for the "Tape" that will come out, she probably won't care because she says she needs money or won't be able to afford that house. She'll let it get out and make $$$ off it.

With all due respect, I have natural "bubbies" and have to "position" them in clothing like that. They will look lopsided (they are perfectly symmetrical) if I do not.

I just watched the special and i think it was totally tacky for Danielle to keep her girls there. That had to have been so awkward for them. To the point that the 14 y/o was like "I felt like I wanted to get in to defend my mom". You're NEVER supposed to let your kids see that. And then at the end when they were leaving, for Danielle to be talking about what she would do to Theresa and her daughter to be like "You could use your knuckle rings." I mean really? Danielle just reeks of loneliness and is more focused on being her daughter's friends than their mother.

Honestly I feel sorry for all of them for their behavior and how they justify it.

Only one little thing-when Danielle was leaving she's bad mouthing Dina to her DD's and mocking her-saying that before she lived in her Mansion she lived in a "hovel with LINOLEUM floors". Like she even KNEW her then.
