real comparison between emh and normal drop rope???

30-45 minutes for 7dmt seems like a lot for emh!!!! Since that would be one of the main reasons to do emh at mk, I'm thinking that emh might not be the best for my family! I thought the wait time for 7dmt would be a lot less!

Well it's one of the most popular rides at Disney. You want to take part in emh to specifically get on 7dmt, and a bunch of others will be doing the same exact thing. Most of the rides will be walk ons. However emh isn't completely dead and a lot will be wanting 7dmt. My advice would be to get there early and beat the crowd there, or have a FP for a couple hours later

I will just avoid it then and use our FP to ride it.

What about EMH at Epcot? I think that I would just try to focus on Soarin, maybe try to ride it at least twice during that hour. Maybe get a FP for FEA.

So for the morning emh hour, the waits at SDMT remain low? We normally avoid EMH with a passion, but with our schedule for next year, we are going to hit Magic Kingdom with two of them and possibly one at Epcot.

I have been following the wait times on touring plans lines app for the last couple months for AM EMH at MK and Epcot. Waits for 7DMT have stayed under 30 minutes that entire 1st hour, with the first 30 mins at 15 and under. I was surprised. At Epcot soarin has stayed under 30. Test track has been busier than that. But you should also follow along and see. Even if you don't subscribe to TP you can follow the waits on MDE.

Well you what, I do subscribe to TP and I do need to start following along with those numbers. But it would be hard for me to do as I work 3rd shift and sleep during the day.

I'm sorry I think I need to work on my posting manners, i wasn't meaning to be rude but after i read it again it could definitely come across that way...I am often in a big hurry and try to get straight to the point as it seems every time I go to type a catastrophe happens in my house...Like a kid tries to swim in the toilet or something.

Maybe I can keep you updated here on this thread over the next few weeks as I watch the morning MK EMH on Fridays and Epcot on Thursdays. Our trip is the week after thanksgiving, how about yours?

I'm sorry you have to work 3rd shift, but good for you for doing it!

You didn't come across rude to me what so ever.

For those following this thread, I checked the wait times this morning for EMH at Epcot. This is from the Lines app but it's the Disney posted times. And sorry I had the chance to sleep in a bit today so I took it. 8:25 was the first time I recorded. Then 835, 845, 900, 915, 930, 950, 1055. Here are the times in that order.

FEA: 30, 45, 45, 45, 50, 55,75, 50
Soarin: 10, 10, 10, 15, 15, 15, 15, 45
Test Track: 30, 30, 30, 30, 20, 20, 30, 60

Tomorrow I will track MK. For my own planning I will do 7DMT, Peter Pan, and Ariel meet. LMK if there are others you want me to track!

Oh, please do. I could use that for Magic Kingdom and it being an EMH. That would be great.

Yes.

For AM EMH in MK, only the attractions in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open.
PM EMH sees FAR more MK attractions open (most of them, actually.)

Likewise, only specific attractions at Epcot, DHS and DAK are open for AM EMH.
Epcot and DHS PM EMH sees far more open attractions.

So glad I saw this! We always rope drop, but never do EMH, but we are this year on a MNSSHP day - gotta check the plan, cause I think I may have us headed to Adventureland/Frontierland that morning!

Here are some times I took down yesterday during EMH at MK. I promise next week I will have times starting at 8.

I took down times at 825, 835, 843, and 9.

7DMT - 30, 30, 45, 45
Peter Pan - 35, 35, 30, 30 (could the first couple have been inflated?)
Meet Ariel - 10, 10, 10, 15
Space- 10, 10, 10, 10
Meet Cinderella and rapunzel were 10 to 15 mins until 9 and then up to 20.

I did see some actual posted wait times in the TP app that had 7DMT at 5 minutes at 8am and 20 mins at 825.

DH had a hard time understanding why anyone would get up so early on vacation. Then I reminded him that it's an adventure and compared it to deer hunting...in order to have the best experience you don't sleep in.you get up early! I told him it's the same at Disney. After our last trip when we did 5 rope drops out of our 6 park days (AM EMH for 4 of them), he was sold.
