Good morning everybody. I got up early, showered, dressed, because DH told me that my 14 yr old had a baseball game at 10 this morning. Well, thank goodness I checked our e-mail on my way to DIS, because my son's game had been RESCHEDULED to 4:00 p.m. Now that we're all ready to go. Grrrr. I really would've enjoyed lounging around this morning. Guess I'll try to get something done instead. Food shopping, anyone??

NM, yes, the spices were dizzying last night. Don't worry, you kinda get used to it. And it's not always that crazy.

Haley, thanks for the meet messages. I'm in for sure on the meet. Not sure about ladies nite since I've got a hubby who won't want to be abandoned. Maybe Kimmie and I can bump into you guys on one of the stops, with our DHs in tow!

What a luxury to sleep in and have nothing planned for the morning. Ahhh...bliss. I am going convertible shopping this afternoon...woo hoo! OK, so technically it will be convertible LOOKING because I want to see all my options before I decide.

A (not so) secret admission: I want a red Mustang. My first car was a used white Mustang that I loved and drove until it had to be shot and put out of its misery. Now I want a brand spankin' new one...only this time in a convertible.

Anyhoo...hope everyone is doing fun stuff today!

As promised, here is my own sweet wedding song story. I don’t talk too much about my DH. I don’t feel it fair to put out TMI about another. I put enough out there about myself to cover the both of us anyway! I will say this. He is a good, sweet man and my rock. I have known him more than half my life. I cannot really remember my life before him. Except for my first sweet love Michael, in the 9th grade. But, I digress.

Anyhoo. When we were planning our wedding, he did not have a lot of input. Except for one thing. THE song. Our wedding song. He wanted to choose it. And because I love him and trust him implicitly, I agreed. Being a traditional Catholic ceremony we had the obligatory Ave Maria. And, I also chose the Wedding Song (There is Love). But, THE song, the one that means the world to me, the one he chose, was a Beatles tune.

Yep, the Beatles. He is Beatles freak. More so than you Horsey I dare say. We have every LP ever made I think and just about every CD as well. I know most of the songs and the words to these songs by osmosis. It is just about all he ever listens to.

And so, his sweet gift to me, that I share with you Pongo, is this:

This is awesome. I can tell that the things you said about your DH are from the heart. When you have been with someone for a while sometimes you take them for granted. Because of our busy life styles, we sometimes forget what is important. I have been guilty of this. When I made the decision to be with my DW in marriage, it was because we were connected on every level. spiritualy, physically, emotionaly. These feelings were so strong. Life's struggles seems to weaken these connections. As the years go by you must constantly renew your vows and reafirm those connections which are still there but are clouded by lifes journey.

I love all of you guys and it is a special thing we have here. I know that we are always positive to each other. It is easy not to judge eachother because we are here for similar purposes. We support eachother with laughter, prayers, kindness. The list goes on. All positive stuff. My DW does this for me but she is also there to support me when I really screw up and she has saved me from myself time and time again. This is something only she can do. This love and support can not be duplicated.
