My DS (12) has been talking about the Space Center. I was there as a kid and wasn't impressed but I've heard they've made major changes out there and added a lot of stuff.

Any suggestions for good resorts out there?

Its been a long time since I have been in that area so I really can't tell you anything about resorts in that area, maybe one of the Florida people will be able to provide some recommendations.
