I am IN for a few. Just got back from Maine. Met Kimmie this morning! She is great and her kids are SO cute! Conor is a card..very entertaining and bright. Piper is sweet and pretty (kinda like nice and pretty, Sid!). And little Sydneyralla is just adorable!!

We took ONE picture. (Well actually, we took two, but Kim had her eyes closed in the 1st one.) Just of the two of us. Afterwards, I felt badly we didn't take one with Kim's kids, too. My "clan" WAS in fact with me. Jay took the pic. I assume Kim will post it later. She has possession. (I'm rather afraid. I never like pictures of myself, and we were a little windblown!) We had a nice time. Beautiful day, lovely setting, and great company! It was fun!!!

I then went and planted myself on the beach in Maine for about 6 hours. Then ate an embarrassing amount of food before heading home. Who's around???

Just got back from MCAlister's Deli. It was good, nothing spectacular, but good.

I dunno, I just like the kind of Deli, where you take a bite of the sandwich and you realize that the same sandwich made somewhere else just wouldn't be as good. McAlister's just isn't that, for me. Just saddin'.

Went to meet the teacher at kids school, dinner at Macaroni Grill (kids fav), and then realized we need to make the space ship things for the space derby tomorrow morning. I think we are burnt out on scouts...

Hope it stays this quiet because I leave for Disney on Tuesday until the 28th. It is a scary thought but I have not missed any posted here or on the first one. I need to get a life. It was easier when I just lurked because you could just read and not worry about catching up.

Haley and La2 (hi there!) You are so right about the teacher thing. Piper got the "right" kindergarten teacher (same one Conor had... we lovelovelove her) and I am also happy with Conor's teacher, based on what I hear. Are you allowed to "request?" Here we are not. You are allowed to write a letter describing your child and the sort of learning environment they would best thrive in, but just not to name names of specific teachers. It's worked so far!

And, the kpKrew (minus the mr.) met the AshClan yesterday!!! Woo hoooooo! Ash's men are taaaaaaaall! All of 'em! And sweet. They were on the lookout for our crew, counting kidlets to see if it was us. Jay took a pic of me and Susan, though he is in TROUBLE for what he called our Maelstrom meet. Susan is wonderful; we had a fun visit.

So yesterday there was a bathroom incident at the MK.


As I entered the Men's Room there were two guys and the son of one of them who was maybe about 3 or 4. Next thing I hear is the father saying, "What are you doing? Don't do that? Pick your pants up. You don't take your pants down when using that!"

Did I laugh because....

• ....of the above forementioned comments? No.
• ....of the quizical look on this young boy because he had never seen a urinal before? No.
• ....he was standing in the middle of the Men's room with his rear end exposed for all to see? No.
• ....his Dad and his friend were both wearing viking helmets complete with horns and braids? Yep, thet was the one that did it.

Everyone else and you know who you are

Spent 3 hours last night in the arena being "the executive in charge of" the dressing rooms at the skating competition. Who knew that it was going to be cold in there, ice and all! I froze my tush off! (which is saying somethin'!) I had on a sweater and capri's - no fanny pack Sher..... but, I was freezing in August!

Off to DH's cousin's wedding this afternoon.

Haley, Borg, baby, on a few fronts! We will be paying OOP for a few table service dinners. Just too many good choices when the kids aren't in tow. And my sons are not in the Scouts for that very reason!! A note, though, I think you have me listed twice in your shoutout. (Not that I'm complaining....) Unless there is another Susan that I don't know about?

Hi Kimmie!!! SO, Yak wants a full on report? It was only an hour or so, sweeties, so not much more to tell! We met at a lovely park/beach that Kim suggested and she and I sat on a park bench and chatted while the kiddos played. (And Jay and my boys went exploring.) Nothing more than that! Sorry....guess we're boring. But it was fun!!

Oh, and Tink, sorry you were lonely last night. I was in chat by my lonesome, too...but earlier. You know me...early to bed and all.

Big doin's today. Got a mini-b-day party for my DS12 (only about 45 days late!!!) in about 30 minutes, then heading over to my nephew's b-day party. Will try to check in briefly tonight.
