0/2 today....and here in the parks. :( Got through at home practicing with no issues.
Did you get the red message that they were not accepting BGs? Just curious because i got that at both 10 and 2 but then X'd out of it, hit join again, and it worked...

Pretty sure it said it was full...I was able to pick party and everything but then when I hit "join queue" after "select all" iI gotthe red bar. I didn't try refreshing....maybe I will try that again tomorrow.

It was so disappointing today....but last I checked at like 6PM they had only boarded like up to 55. So I am thinking they had some issues today. We will try again tomorrow.

I thought you don't have to select your party as it should auto match who is in your MDE and been scan in HS. That might help take off precious seconds. I'm been practicing without selecting my party.

After many months of reading all the forums, tips, tricks, etc, finally got to try it all out today. We were fortunate. Got BG 18. I turned off WiFi , and was in TSL when trying. Hubby was also trying, so I was worried it would mess us up, but didn’t seem to. I chose Join from the main page. I did not pause to look at the names, but all 4 of us were on the list, I just continued. The guy next to us did not get a group. Just so stressful of a process. They didn’t even call and BGs until about 10:30. Took almost 2 hours to get to us. Then about 50 mins from getting in line until off ride. I think there definitely tech issues today.

So which one of you got the boarding group? Location on or location off? Thanks!

I “think” it was my daughter with location on, but we aren’t really sure. She seemed to get through first but then it gave the something went wrong to both of us. I panicked and thought we missed it but didn’t get the red banner. We went back in and saw our boarding group.

Yes....because we had heard that if you have multiple people trying it can give you the error message.

I've gotten BGs with a group three times with no issues whatsoever. The first person in will get a message with the BG number. The rest of the group will get an error message, but will be able to back up in the app and see the BG number. I recommend having as many people as possible try for a BG.

We were 0/2 for today too. 😕 We were able to ride in December thankfully, but still so disappointing. I have to say the process when we were here in December on day 3 after opening was far less stressful than it was today. Both times today groups seem to go in under 5 seconds. At 10 am I was able to get past the part where it selected my family and hit join but it just spun and spun and then said “we’re sorry something went wrong, try again later.” I hit the x to get out of that and refreshed about 5 times getting the same message each time until I finally got the “all groups are full.” DH was able to past the group screen but it came up right away that all groups were filled. It was really just seconds at 10 am. I was at MFSR, he was in Toy Story Land. At 2 pm I couldn’t even get the family screen to load. He did but got an “all groups are filled“ message right away.

We didn’t practice because we thought we knew what to do from our December trip but now I’m regretting that decision. We’ll be back in March so if anyone knows what we did wrong, I’d be eager to know.

I wondered yesterday as I saw they were boarding groups like 26-33 at 2PM if maybe they didn't even open up groups at 2 since they obviously were having issues with the 10AM groups. I am not as familiar with it post covid, but I know pre-covid my husband got on with a 99 standby group.

We were right by where the hat used to be at 2 pm and I heard someone say that they got group 49. But that is the only person I heard say they got one and there were a lot of people trying around us. They made the announcement a bunch of times so I’m guessing they opened some up but it might have been really limited. The highest group we heard from 10 am was 36.

Correct don't stop to select members of your party. Just hit the Join buttons as fast as you can as you have been practicing.

The recommendation I have received is to Uber to the speedway near the boardwalk and walk in to the park from there. It's up to you what you end up doing, just know that walking in has gotten people in the earliest.

This will be our first WDW trip (Disneyland folks) and I’m having a hard time figuring out where this is. We’ll use Lyft to get over there and walk so want to make sure I give the right address and know where the heck I’m walking- any tips would be great! ROTR is our top top priority.

You want the Speedway gas station on the corner of Buena Vista Dr. and EPCOT Resorts Blvd. Cross at the intersection and follow the walkway along Buena Vista Dr., take the right fork towards the walkway along the canal, take a left there and walk onwards to DHS. You can see the walkway via satellite view on internet maps (search the map for Disney’s Boardwalk Resort - the Speedway is across EPCOT Resorts Blvd. from it).

Perfect this is exactly what I needed to know- thank you! Does it feel like a long walk or is it not too bad?

It is about 14-18 minutes depending your walking speed.

Amazing, thank you all so much! We’re seasoned DLR folks but this will be the first time at WDW so the navigation piece has me overwhelmed so I’m in full research mode. We made reservations for two days at HS so determined to get in ROTR!
