Well, for one thing, it's possible that Disney had no idea that this ride would be so amazingly popular, although, having ridden it, I'd have to say that it's obvious that it would be.
You may not remember this, but FoP had a similar problem when it first opened. People would stand in line forever, the ride would break down, and that'd be it. Done for the day. No hope of riding it. In fact, there were problems in the building--I believe the fire alarm system was kinda screwy--and not only FoP but NRJ were both nonoperational for long periods of time.
They
do need to get this figured out quickly, and I'm going to count on them to do it. They created this stupendous experience and they are probably pretty danged upset that it's not running at capacity or with any degree of reliability.
@eeyoreandtink--Try assuming that you are going to get to ride RotR during your trip instead of assuming the worst. Can't hurt and it would certainly make you feel better. Of course you want the full experience. Everyone going to any Disney park wants the full experience.
