After a lot of time talking to guest services finally got our recovery pass on our account from Friday. On our way now to ride. We have yet to arrive and not have the ride break down. We leave tomorrow so here’s hoping we can make it

How many park days have y'all been planning to try for ROTR?

I'll be arriving at WDW 2 weeks from today. Monday 2/3 and Tuesday 2/4 I will be inside DHS at park open trying for a BG. I can make one more attempt on Thursday 2/6 if needed.

My biggest concern is if they stick with a later opening time for my dates, it will be a LOT harder than it is now with the 7 am openings. As a solo with a Park Hopper and only one ADR (Wednesday AK day breakfast), I've kept myself about as flexible as possible, so all I can do now is hope the Force is with me.

THANKS for this thread, The Chart, and all the great informative posts. This group has convinced me I can do this!

It does seem like dining reservations (or worse, dinner shows or other things for which you pay in full ahead of time) are a lot harder to work around than most fp. Maybe we can just wait to make reservations until after we know our ROTR position for the day.

Just to confirm. No way for someone on a pc to help you get a boarding group, it has to be from the app? ( Hubby has an old phone that can't use the app.)

No, someone can get you one from a computer outside of the park, so long as everyone they want to get a BG for has entered the park. There have been several reports of people doing it within this thread.

Have been reading this thread, but am having difficulty deciphering which is better - data or wifi for snagging a BG? Any insight greatly appreciated!

Not sure if this should go in the general attraction or ROTR thread, but I have a quick question.

We will be traveling with a group of 10 people including a 2 year old (won't go on MFSR or ROTR) in February. How does rider swap currently work on these new Star Wars rides? The same as other attractions? Everyone in our group (other than the toddler) will want to ride these rides. If one person stays off (for the swap), do they have to go back and ride each attraction along? I am guessing they still just enter through the FP+ line for the "swap ride"? Who else currently uses the FP+ line for these attractions since they don't really offer FP+ for them yet? Thanks for the help!

For MFSR you go to the entrance and let the CM know you are doing rider swap, first group goes through the standby line and second group (swap person plus 2) go through fp
For RotR everyone wanting to ride must join a bg at rope drop, then same as MFSR
The fp line is used for rider swap, DAS guests and the occasional VIP, also at RotR the fp queue is used for people with guest recovery fp from the day before

that was my concern as well - for example, we have a 4pm ADR - hypothetically, BG called at 3pm - so I would have 2hr window - seems like I would be tough to be off the attraction in time to make the ADR, and not enough time to eat and be at the attraction by 5pm - or, am I totally off here ?

In that situation I would probably stop by the restaurant (assuming it’s in DHS) and let them know that you might be late for your ADR due to the BG. I can’t imagine they would give you a hard time.

On a good day you're off from rise in under an hour, on a bad day your stuck for an hour in queue and then given a fp. But the entire property knows the struggle and they are more forgiving in terms of timing
