That’s essentially a pro and con. Pro-less wait times. Con-you’ll have to rush through your attractions before you get corralled out at 6.

That late in the season its not going to make a difference because its so close to Christmas that many people are already vacationing.

Historically party days are less busy than non-party days but as others have shared, your dates are when the park attendance in general will be picking up.

That being said, I would always choose a party day over a non-party day, understanding I would miss all of the MK nighttime entertainment.

One thing to consider would be blockout dates for some annual passes having an affect on crowd levels.
The other more important might be good news for you because WDW offers the Xmas Parade included for those days of Xmas week Monday the 22 thru Xmas .
I would guess locals will want to see that Parade and would make MK more crowded . So your plans would be good for your visit.
I am local and will want to be in the parks for the free parade .
Not the week before.
But it will be crowded no matter what !

One thing to consider would be blockout dates for some annual passes having an affect on crowd levels.

The last day before blackout for the Sorcerer pass is 12/20, for the Pirate Pass it’s 12/19, and for the Pixie pass it’s 12/18. It’s nice that they are staggered by a day as that could help a little to spread out the AP crowds trying to get a last minute day in the parks. Of course, Incredipass has no blackout over the holidays.

My question for the OP: Do you visit WDW on a regular basis? If you visit every year or every few years, it may not matter to you that you would miss the regular nighttime entertainment at MK. If you don’t visit often, or if this trip is a one and done, I would give it a little more thought, since crowds will be heavy anyway regardless of which day you pick. The earlier in your trip that you go to MK, the better the crowd situation will be. Getting LLMP will help you more than party/non party day.
