Rates/Points at Non-DVC Resorts

Okay, here's my question of the moment. I would like to stay in Lagoon View Concierge room at the Polynesian. How are those upgraded rooms viewed in terms of points? Are there differing amounts of points, dependent on the type of room? I have found the point rate for the weekend I would like to go to be 40 each night on Friday, Saturday and 22 for sunday night. I suspect this is simply a standard room rate. Anyone have a clue? I certainly don't!!!!!

I don't know what point chart you are looking at (there was a large increase from 2001 to 2002) but here is the point chart for 2002 Poly Lagoon Concierge

the points are a much, much better value if you are using them at a DVC resort - have you considered VWL instead of Polyn?

You were looking at the Disney Collection point chart for 2001. These were standard rooms- not concierge. Some reported being able to upgrade to concierge (if available at check-in) for an additional cash amount.

As jel0511 pointed out, the 2002 chart does allow for concierge room resrevations, but at a much higher point cost. There is no provision for any cash upgrades however.
