Random Dining Questions (Reservations? Locations? Etc.)

Going to Disneyland Paris this month for our first-ever visit and have a few question I haven't found answers to elsewhere (maybe I'm just inept at search):

1) At this time of year, is it necessary/advisable to call before our trip and make dining reservations? The only 'must-do' restaurant for us, as of right now, is Walt's.

2) Any restaurants, counter service or table service, that you'd recommend for their ambiance, design, and detail?

3) Any restaurants you'd recommend for their cuisine (we're adventurous eaters)?

4) Any restaurants that offer a spectacular view? I've seen some photos from Founder's Cup in the Disneyland Hotel and that looks awesome. Anywhere else like that in the hotels or the parks?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'd ring to find out opening days/times as if you are not going during French school holidays there are a fair few closed.

Walt's for example closes Mon/Tues as of next week again.

Walt's is my favourite t/s in the park and you can get a view of the parades on Main st if you have a window table.

Blue Lagoon is different decor wise with it being along side the POTC ride and you get to see the boats go by.

Buffets are much of a muchness besides Agrabah which is Middle Eastern/Mediterranean influenced and is in an amazing setting - truely unique.

The other one which is excellent food wise but you have to like characters is the Sunday Brunch buffet at Inventions in the DLH.

:)

Awesome, thanks! We're going to November 18-21 when it appears to be a light season, so I'll make sure we eat at Walt's Sunday or Monday.

Another question...I see Disney Dreams normally occurs at park closing. The park closes at 7 pm while we're there. Will Disney Dreams be shown? Is it dark enough at 7pm?

Dreams will be shown at 7pm and lasts 21 minutes. It's dark now tonight at 6.20pm so don't worry about that :)

I recommend booking if you want to eat at cafe mickey. blue lagoon and walts, Cafe Mickey was the only with a queue of walk ups on our trip but the other two seemed permanently full, and that was during the week in light season/quiet parks

auberge de cendrillon had the most adventurous menu but overall we were disappointed with the quality of the food elsewhere. I think we may have to try cali grill or inventions next time :)

That's just reminded me - The menus will be changing before your visit as they change with the new season.

Auberge de Cendrillon is more about meeting the Princesses than the food for a lot of people as it's not your standard menu choices especially for children (if the reviews on here and on TA made by English speaking people are anything to go by) ;)

Hope they change the menu to make it a bit more normal food for children!
Plan on taking my daughter here next June but as it stands she wouldn't eat anything.

Thanks. I mostly noted that we are adventurous eaters in case there are some restaurants that you wouldn't recommend (like Sanaa in Walt Disney World) for people who aren't adventurous.

We'll eat anywhere, so it doesn't matter that the food is *not* adventurous.

We're trying not to overplan this so that there are plenty of surprises, so I haven't combed any menus planning which specific items we'd order...so the menu change is no issue to us.

Thanks again for the help! :)
