Im debating using Raise to purchase gift cards and was wondering what everyone thought about this service. I tried googling reviews and seen that people were saying went to use the gift card and there wasnt any money on the balance. Im kind of nervous because I dont want to spend a few thousand worth of cards to out of luck.

Thanks all

I have purchased from Raise about 20 times and have had 3 bad cards I believe. Each time I had a bad card I was reimbursed within 3 days. No questions asked. They are a very reputable company and stand by their guarantee.

Raise isn't the problem with bad cards. It's dishonest/illegal sellers.

I've been purchasing from CardPool and have had no trouble (knock on wood!) I've bought eight Target GC's and a couple of Starbucks so far. I find they have bigger discounts than Raise. I also visit GiftCardGranny as that site shows what all the other sites (Raise, Cardpool, etc.) have available and the discounts. I have been using the code right away that comes via email to convert the purchased gift card to a "safe" Target gift card, and then once I have a couple I purchase Disney cards via Target using my Red Card as the default for the 5%.

Good luck!

Thank you both. Im just so worried with being scammed

That's completely normal. I was hesitant as well. I have never had an issue with any gift card company not refunding a faulty card. Each site has a window that you must be in to claim a refund (i.e 60 days, 90 days etc.). So be sure to use your card/transfer to a safe card by then.

I just read in Consumer Reports that people who have a bad experience are far more likely to tell others than people who have a good experience. I can't remember the exact percentage, but it was high. So for every bad review you read, there are probably a lot more good transactions that people never bothered to write about.

My experience so far with Raise has been good.

I use cardpool mainly because they are consistently at 7% off and with topcashback giving 2%.

But, I have used Raise as well and had good experiences with both. I have had a card here and there that haven't worked and they refund me my money or fix the cards very quickly.

Raise.com is great, I've used them many times. Cardpool works but I warn you that your first order will be SLOW. Subsequent orders take at least 1 day, which is still slow to me.

I totally agree Nardia_girl. It's natural to seek feedback about new services/products especially in this Internet driven world we're in. It is even more important to remember that customers expect performance. Few people offers reviews when a product proves adequate. More often reviews come from either an Epic fail or goes above and beyond what is expected.

As far as raise is concerned. I have used them 5 or 6 times and have always been satisfied with the service. If you feel uncomfortable, try a smaller gift card amount that you are comfortable with. Caldisneymomof2 stated that even when she got an occasionally bad card, raise was good about getting her money back.

I have only had to wait if it's late in the day on friday and the weekend. I believe they are closed then. If it's on a weekday I get it within 10 minutes.

I've used Raise for barnes & nobles cards over 20 times. (I have a nook and am a VERY avid reader, so it saves me a little cash). Knock on wood, I've yet to have an issue. But like others said, I input the gift card to my bn account immediately to be sure I don't have an issue.

I have had no issues with Raise and have spent about $1000 on there. When I get a gift card code, I move it right over to a card that I have owned myself so that the original seller can't use it once I have paid for it.

I bought tons of gift cards from them and never had any issues (mostly Target). However, I used the gift card almost immediately after ordering it, so maybe this is what helped.

Wow, that has not been my experience with Cardpool.com, ordered last one Monday afternoon, received just before COB Tuesday. My coworker ordered a large amount Monday, first order and has yet to even get an order verification. Good luck getting customer service on the phone too, all calls seems to go straight to voicemail.

I'm not saying I wouldn't continue to use them because they seem to have the higher discount but from my experience don't bank on getting them right away.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of cardpool for this reason.

That's crazy, the difference in turn around times.
Maybe it's because I order smaller amounts? My orders are usually just one gift card and it's never over $50.

I plan on spending at least $1000 so Im a bit nervous but I plan on moving it right over to my target account and use immed

I use Raise and Cardpool all the time and have not had any problems at all.

For the Target/Disney GC method, I split up my order so that I am never ordering too much at the same time. Then I combine the Target cards right away on the Target App and purchase Disney gift cards (again in small orders...I have had better luck with them being all activated if there are only a few here and there, and for safety in delivery).

Hi. Do you mean for instance if I wanted to purchase a Starbucks card to already have one of my own and once I have the code or actual card put the new card amount on my current card? Ive never done this before so I guess you can just transfer balances of cards to one another?

Thanks so much!

So if I were to transfer the balance onto my target app that already has some of my gc on it the seller wint be able to use the funds or even transfer all my funds from my tatget app?
