Hi !

Which website do you rely on for crowd forecasts ? Which one is the more accurate ?

Thanks !

I always check a few of them (Touring Plans, Undercover Tourist, WDW Prep School) and then compare and contrast assuming that I'll have good takeaways from each. Some are more detailed (which park which day) and some are more general, but I'm an over planner, and I really enjoy the research.

I use Touring Plans, but not the future crowd predictor. I use crowd level history from the previous year to decide what weeks are the best.

Also the ticket prices and to a lesser extent the hotel prices.

Universal's express pass prices are particularly good for this because the pricing is so dynamic.

I can't be the only one who never bothers with a crowd calendar. I base my travel dates on other factors - when I can go, avoid very hot weather, avoid major holidays if possible.

They've all been inaccurate enough that I no longer bother, beyond very general trends. For example: October is busier than September, during Party season Party days in MK are uncrowded, but non-Party days are busy, etc.

Everything you're saying sounds pretty interesting !

Can you tell me more ?
Basically when locals are blacked out they can’t go to the parks. The hotels are already running pretty full most of the year so that can have times when there parks are less full.

I don’t use them to plan when to visit but I use them to help me decide which parks to visit on the days that I’m there.
Same :-) But now I'm looking at UT and TP and they conflict regarding the best park to visit each day of my upcoming trip.

I know TP may change the numbers as the trip gets closer but I'm wondering which site has been historically more correct regarding the "green" park for the day.

Disney offers a crowd calendar of sorts. Just look at the cost of a one-day ticket at each park. The more expensive the ticket, the more crowded you can expect it to be.

We're going for 2 weeks in late August, and I noticed something interesting with our 2 DHS days. Aug 22nd closing was extended to 10PM and LLMP is $29. Aug 27 still closes at 9 and LLMP is $24. Probably a pretty good indication that crowds will be lower the 2nd day.
