Rain ponchos

I read somewhere (about a year ago), that if your WDW rain poncho rips, they will replace it. Anyone know the truth in this. One of our ripped during a terrible rainstorm (the domes that close it). I only read about the exchange thing once we got home. We take them back every year so would like to exchange it if we can. If not, I'll just buy a new one.

Last summer I took back a poncho that I had bought early in the trip that had ripped around the neck and got a new one with no questions asked on my last day. I was completely willing to buy a new one, but when I had asked the CM to throw out my old one, they did not charge me for the new one.

I heard something about them changing the company that makes the ponchos, so unless they are changed in a drastic way, I see no reason why you cannot exchange them for one that is not ripped.

Last Nov. we were ij Epcot on a rainy day, I in my AK poncho bought years ago to ride Kali RR. The hood was gone and a rip was spraedinh down the back. I went into the souvenir stand by the lagoon at Morocco to buy one. The CM gave me a new on. I told him that mine was years old and I was there to buy a new one. He still wouldn't take my money. I don't know of this is official policy, but this was my experience during the week of 11/8 - 11/17.

It's nice to hear that they still do this...I purchased a few about 5 years ago (that we wore only once in about 6 trips). I got mine stuck in the door of the bus going to MK and ripped.., and when I got there one of the CM's at a cart replaced it for me at no charge, this was a few years ago.
