Raglan Road question

We will be on the DDP and have an ADR at Raglan Road. Our plan is to pay most of our tips for this trip with Disney gift cards that we received from getting the Disney Visa. I assume that at Raglan Road we can't use the Disney gift card for a tip, as they are not owned by Disney. Is this correct?

My understanding -- correct me if I'm wrong -- is that if an establishment takes the room key card for payment, they'll also take the gift card. I think all the places at DTD do that.

Is that accurate??

You shouldnt have ANY problems using giftcards for tips. I know people who have paid for tips and meals at MANY restaurants. So dont worry about that. Enjoy your trip!!

I'm certain that you can have the tip charged back to your room, then pay the charge at your resort with gift cards.

As a matter of fact we were at WDW and used a disney gift card to pay for all of out tips just this past week (April 30th-May 8th). We had no problem using it at Raglan Road (as well as 'Ohana, Cape May, Whispering Canyon, Biergarten, Flying Fish, Beaches & Cream, and Via Napoli).

When you use the gift cards it will show at the bottom of your receipt how much is left. You might want to check every time. We usually use gift cards every trip for gratutities and one trip last year the waitress at Boma added an extra $10.00 to her tip. Since I was already tipping 20%, I called her on it. I guess she thought since it was coming off a gift card that I wouldn't notice--although since I was solo that trip, the extra $10.00 more than doubled her tip. lol You will have to sign two receipts every time--one for the DDP and one for the gift card gratutity. The one for the gift card will also show how much you wrote down for the tip.
