Which one would you choose?

Radisson is cheaper, but Country Inn and Suites is newer. Anything else?

Going to make a ressie today, and last time I used Holiday Inn Express about 10 miles away and it was not very good. Worn and stained carpet and smelly. Just don't want to make another mistake!

Loved the CI&S. We have stayed there twice. It is a hotel with the rooms opening into an interior corridor. Free breakfast. Family suite with separate kids room (no door and walls not quite to the ceiling) with their own TV is great.

The last time we were at the Radisson, the rooms needed to be renovated as the furniture was falling apart. This is a motel type resort where the rooms open to the outside.

CI&S wins out for us every time. I forgot to mention the fresh baked choc chip cookies in the lobby.... Another reason I like CI&S.

I'm a fan of the CI&S chain in general. When I found there was one so close to the port, that was the end of my hotel search. We've always had excellent service at the 4-5 CI&S hotels we've used.

We've never stayed at either but had the same dilemma. I had narrowed the choices down to Radisson and CI&S. I decided on CI&S for the kids' bunks, the interior hallways and the free breakfast. For the little extra price over the Radisson it seemed like a better choice for us. Good luck!

CI&S runs a "Cruise and Park" special where you can leave your car at their location and they will shuttle you to the port (this avoids the $15 day parking fee at the port).

Radisson has a free shuttle (CI&S charges $3/pp), and a nicer pool.
CI&S is newer and includes breakfast.
For us, it comes down to the best deal at the time.

The pool was the deciding factor for us. We will spend the better part of a day there before we cruise next week. Pools are a high priority for us.

Never been to CS&I but have heard a lot of nice things.

Some folks just like familarity. I guest I'm one them. The Radisson has been there alot longer than CS&I. My pick is the Radisson. Love the pool. I've had lots of fun times there and met up with many Dis'ers. Good food near by. The greek diner and the pizza place are great and my DD loves McD's across the street. The free parking and shuttle services is a big plus in my book. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We've stayed at the Radisson probably 6-7 times & NEVER have had a room that needs repair or furniture that is torn or broken. It's ALWAYS clean, no evidence of things not being cleaned spotless in between guest. The pool is WAY better than CS&I (we stayed @ CS&I last year because the weekend of our cruise the Radisson was totally full) CS&I has no bar, anywhere, if that's important to you. The lounge chairs there around the pool are very hard & uncomfortable to lay on & their pool towels are a joke. They are so small you have to take 3 or 4 to feel like you've got a towel. The pool is very pretty & the hot tub very nice. There's no food there except the morning breakfast, which is very simple. CS&I is newer & very clean. We arrived around 4:30 pm on Thurs. & had to take our own luggage (which was a lot) to our room because the bellman had gone home:confused3. The chocolate chip cookies are very nice but of the 3 nights we were there they were only available 1 night. We stayed in a king suite, no where near as nice as Radisson but it was nice & clean.Their bathroom was very nice with a large vanity sink area in bath. In the suite there is a small refrig. & microwave & coffee maker on a very nice cabinet. No sink there though or table. At Radisson, the king suite has a small kitchette with a sink, micro., refrig. dishes, utensils, & table with chairs (if that's important for your stay.) Also @ the Radisson the king suite has a huge jacuzzi in the bedroom, I LOVE that! ;) As you may have guessed, before a cruise we start our vacation staying a few days @ Port Canaveral before we get on the ship. So where we stay & the amenities the place has to offer to relax & enjoy is very important to us. If you're only there for part of a day & leaving the next day, then price is probably more important, then stay @ CS&I.
BTW, at CS&I the shuttle was free for us as well as @ Radisson.
Hope this review helps with making your decisions :)
ALSO: The rooms we stayed in did NOT open to the outside, our door to the room opened to the inside, carpeted hallway.

when we went in 2004 we stayed at the radisson I loved it. The pool was the best. we are staying there again in nov and going down on friday not boarding the wonder until sunday just wanted a few days to be in the warm and play in the pool. I didn't even think of swithching to anywhere else I was so happy last time we stayed. can't wait to see the pool. Oh yea and if you happen to stay at the radisson make sure you check out the parrots that have made a home in the palm trees they are beautiful you can check out the info about them on the radisson web site but it is a great way to start to fell the tropic's especially when coming from michigan where all you see is pine trees and robins. it just set the mood for us. great place.

We stay at the Raddisson in 2006 and loved it.
I have stay at a county inn and suites two times and both sucked.

What they call a suite is a joke and most CIS are located near loud roadways, where you hear the traffic

We have stayed at CI & S and thought it was fine.
The Radisson and CI & S are in the same "family", just different levels. Just as Marriott's etc. has different levels, CI & S is below the Radisson in that chain. It gives people options plus capturing the market at that end of town.
