I posted this over on the Transportation Board, but since I am looking for the info to do some planning, I hope it will be okay over here too.

For those who like to watch the fireworks from the Poly Beach, which is the quickest way back to MK to catch the bus - use the MK ferry shuttle from the Poly Beach to the MK dock (I don't mean the Ferry from the TTC) , or take the resort Monorail to TTC, change to MK monorail, and then get to the MK bus stop?:moped:

TIA!

You don't need to switch monorails - the resort monorail stops at MK. The order is Poly, Grand Floridian, MK, Contemporary, TTC

As to whether boat of monorail is faster, I guess it depends on how long you need to wait for each to leave the Poly. The boat stops at the GF before the Poly, so would be direct for you. I think there's a sticky somewhere with actual travel times

I've heard there are some people that walk from the Poly to the TTC then take the express monorail straight to the MK. I think that is only an advantage if you are at the TTC end of the Poly.

We stayed at the Poly last week and took both the resort monorail (not the one from the TTC) and the resort shuttle to and from MK. I would say after watching the fireworks on the beach, it would be faster to walk to the resort monorail inside the Grand Ceremonial House and use the monorail to get to MK. The boat shuttle takes about 20 - 25 min. to make a round trip.....monorails come more frequently.

I do not know the answer to this....but could you catch a bus from the TTC right next to the Poly instead of going back to MK to catch the bus?

Where are you staying? Which date are you talking about? It depends on other park hours but why would you want to head toward the crowd?

You may have a better alternative by taking a bus from the Poly to a different park (Depending on operating hours) and then a bus to your resort (Depending on location also).

Let's say it is early December 12/5 ,and wishes is at 6 PM and the MK close at 7PM. You could catch a bus from the Poly to EPCOT and then a bus to your resort which I think would be much quicker.

Sorry, but there are no buses to WDW resorts at TTC.

(Shades of Green -not a Disney Resort- is an exception.)

Where ate you staying?
If its a Epcot hotel
You can walk to ttc and take Epcot monorail

That also requires two things-

1- A ticket (hopper or otherwise) to get into Epcot.
2- The very long walk from the Epcot monorail station/front gates back to the Resorts.

If I am already on the Poly beach, then the boat landing is right there in the same area. I would rather wait for the boat than to walk all through the Poly to catch the monorail to MK. That boat ride is so delightful in the evening. No matter how fast he gets back to the MK he will have to wait for a bus to his resort as the crowds will be coming out of the MK.

Maybe you will be lucky and the little boat will be at the Poly at the end of the fireworks and you can jump right on.

I would take the ferry as most people will be getting on the monorail after the fireworks.
As others have said, your final destination may change things. You can take a bus from Poly to DTD if you are staying at Saratoga Springs-I think!
